After midnight? And if they let them in before, why was the husband found in the bedroom?Maybe they let him in because they knew him.

I doubt it. The court divorce record states ‘divorce no children’. They were divorced in 2017.I wonder if the father of the older child is Monique's ex-husband? Because if so, then maybe they could have shared custody and he might have been in their home?

And where was the wife found?
Info. not released that I am aware of.I I am leaning on the murderer was hiding out in the house.
Does Spencer / Monique have any close friends / housemaids that know the door code / spare key?
Also, the children were left unharmed thank god for that.
That report came only from WSYX ABC 6 Columbus based off the 911 call (and was repeated by People etc.) It stated:
1. We don't know it's accuracy. I've heard the dental practice's 911 call but have not heard a link to this one.
2. We don't know if the friend had access into the residence/crime scene.
3. We don't know if the basement was used as say a guest bedroom and that for whatever reason is where they ended up and that's the location cited (you can see into the basement through the large egress window). I doubt this because reports of the wellness check said the officer checked both the front and back door, so he would have seen the same thing and had probable cause to immediately enter.
4. It is possible that he like @OhioGuy suggested procured a ladder and checked the second story windows, though seems a bit more far fetched. There are actually not that many windows and the sides of the houses between are minimized for privacy. Maybe they had an extendable pole cam or a drone even, yes far-fetched but who knows?
The wedding video that they are keeping up on YT, though heartbreaking from a human perspective, provides a lot of layout from a clinical web sleuthing angle, including the inside of the house and a hovering drone shot of the entire neighborhood/back alley/yard, adjacent streets etc.
Was there access to a ladder to get to the second floor? Unlikely the friend brought it with him, but how would see Spencer near the bed, unless he was in the basement bedroom? We only use it for family, but I wonder if coworkers had "find my friends" or "Life 360" shared with the couple. I go back and forth about thinking that calling the cops when someone is 1.5 hours late for work is a little extreme, but if an app showed that they were both at the home, but not responding, then that is concerning.
It does seem that the bedrooms are on the top floor, or basement. I can't imagine parents of a 1 and 4 year old being two floors away from the kids bedrooms. But how does the friend see into the bedroom on the top floor unless they entered the home?
That is the most likely. The two 911 calls were minutes apart (from not being able to enter to seeing a body). Was there access to a ladder to get to the second floor? Unlikely the friend brought it with him, but how would see Spencer near the bed, unless he was in the basement bedroom?
I found the case. It took a little searching, but it's there. I did see a "Mutual Restraining Order" but I understand that's fairly routine, to prevent people from stealing each others' assets, and a reference to this, but that also sounds like a routine thing should the need arise.
I don't think this is a robbery. My speculation is that this is a hate crime. Money or a former lover, jealousy, revenge. It feels like the person had nothing to lose. For some reason the thought crossed my mind that a woman could have done this, because she didn't touch the children, but the children were probably just sleeping.
A horrible thought, could the murderer who may have been familiar with the house, have the door code and have been hiding in the house. This may extend the timeline beyond what the police are looking for. Are there security cameras outback?
It is likely that their is DNA evidence on the shell casing amongst other areas. My guess is that will nail him / her. From what I can gather, this family were warm and hospitable. The house was a place everyone gathered in.
Exactly. And a 4 year old would have been born in 2021... after their 2020 marriage.I doubt it. The court divorce record states ‘divorce no children’. They were divorced in 2017.
