OH - Spencer and Monique Tepe found shot to death at home 2 children unharmed, Columbus, 30 December 2025

My apologies if I missed this detail but I keep reading that the bedroom door was locked. How did the friend see the body once he was inside the house if the bedroom door was locked? Did he break the interior bedroom door down to see this? Or am I just assuming that both ST and MT were in an upstairs bedroom when found?

Police didnt release it, I believe Fox News was the first. Probably why they are not an approved source on websleuths, doesnt look like they fact check.
NBC News played it tonight

There was one 911 call when the friend was outside, and he talked about thinking of breaking the door down.

There was another call when a friend (maybe the same friend) was in the house.

I've heard nothing about a locked bedroom door, but I think you might be conflating the outside door with the bedroom door.

That's an NBC affiliate. NBC Nightly News played the audio and did nothing to dispel the fact that it wasn't Monique. I couldn't believe it, especially since we've known for hours that the call definitely wasn't her.

I heard this earlier, but there was no garuntee that one shot to the side would have killed monique, unless the killer stuck around in the house long enough to make sure.... she could've very easy survived and got to help.

This is so bizarre. Did the Tepe's have a babysitter or friend who often stayed the night in their home? Or a relative who had been the victim of "domestic violence?" Perhaps they provided emotional support to the victim of domestic violence or encouraged that person to leave their abuser? The abuser blames the Tepe's for the ultimate end to the relationship?

I am a retired mental health professional and I had the same reaction and red flag: Intervention in a domestic dispute is dangerous.
Of course it is, but it's going to be dangerous in the moment or shortly thereafter. Much less likely 9 months later.

Has anyone considered that coworkers were present at their wedding?
Spencer had switched jobs since then, no? The Athens job was just since 2024 or so.

Yes, to quote him, “our family is very different.”
Do you have a link to where he said that? Curious as to the context of what he said before and after, thanks.

The family did say it was a "covid era" private celebration in one article, so yes, an intimate gathering. I posted Rob Misleh's work just above, and he had the wedding video up since 4 years ago on YT and is currently replying to comments.
Many attended via Zoom, MT’s Dad acknowledged them during the vow portion.

Why does it matter if it is Monique or not? It's relevant news that someone was calling about a domestic situation that is tied to that house. It could explain a motive for the shooting. It was never presented as Monique's voice, only a call from that location.

I don’t recall specifically, did the local Fox channel indicate the call was Monique? Thinking they didn’t, only indicated it was a female from the address of the home.

It is the /tepemurders reddit threat where he is conversing with everyone. Let me know if you want me to send you a screenshot since I cannot post it in here even though he is posting this publicly. I will also tell you about his post history which is now private. Some of it was quite disturbing.

Edit: he also appears to have a Burner account on Reddit now too, pretending to be a friend defending him (but it’s clearly him)

It matters because it casts aspersions on an innocent victim.

It matters because if it was Monique, it could open doors as far as other possibilities go.

No outlet has claimed it was her. But many people heard that call and made the connection.

I was talking to someone about this yesterday and they had all these theories based on ST being abusive.

That’s where people’s minds went.

I’m confused. Isn’t he married to Monique’s sister? The lawyer is Spencer’s Dad though.
No, the BIL spokesperson is married to Spencer’s sister.

IDK? I cant even remember where I first heard that call. I just think they were the first ones to post it ? They may not have said it was her b/c I remember thinking “ it wasnt her”. Even tho they didnt affirmatively say it was…ya lead a horse to water most times they’ll drink. Many people believed it was related, even when the BIL cleared it up.
