"Records say police were able to identify McKee through neighborhood video surveillance. He was reportedly tracked to a vehicle that arrived just prior to the shootings and left shortly after.
Detectives were able to identify the vehicle and link it to McKee, according to court records. They later located the vehicle in Rockford, Illinois and found evidence that McKee had ownership of the vehicle."

Basic surveillance and police work, across state lines. It took less than 2 weeks. Not terrible…

So was the entry on their divorce filing back in September 2025 a reason for murder? Everyone poo-pooed that and said it was an administrative error. But I didn’t think so.

What happened back in September? Ex was low on my list I have to admit since they divorced in 2017 and reports I had seen at least said that assets had been settled so I was thinking why would it happen now 8+ years later? But if something came back up…

Makes sense now why protection officers were in place at other family members homes and possibly why the dental practice acted so quick and multiple friends arrived at the home with such urgency too

I wonder too. Could’ve guessed the door code if his old house with Monique had a similar lock, could’ve been stalking them for awhile to figure out entry points, maybe the back door or balcony door were unlocked. Others said electronic locks are easy to bypass so perhaps he did that. Clearly a crime of passion and hatred. So freaking sad and senseless.

Do also feel bad for the BIL attracting so much suspicion now. He obviously had nothing to do with it.

It would seem if you were married for less than a year before separating and divorced less than 2 years after marriage, with no real fight over assets and so on. Then 8 years later you come back and kill her and her husband. WHY? This is a successful person with his own career and I'm sure he could find someone else as plenty of people would date a doctor/surgeon for various reasons. Why now? Why wait 8 years? Something must have been a trigger for him at this point. Maybe Christmas holiday or something happened in his personal life recently that set him back on this path of needing to hurt her? How sad.

Seriously. Monique was so gorgeous and seemed like such a beautiful soul, I guess I could see an obsessive ex fixating on her and being angry he can’t have her and it boiling over over the years. How freaking sad. This guy is a surgeon and could’ve moved on.
