GUILTY OH - Steubenville Rape Case, 11 Aug 2012 #1

I think she was given a roofie, probably in the alcohol. I had that done to me once. I wonder if the victim remembers much/anything before she became so wasted, like that she hadn't had much alcohol.

"Everything was going fine, the music was playing, people were having fun -- and then all of a sudden all the girls were puking everywhere," she said. "Girls were outside on their backs."


An estimated 50 people were at the party, Ferguson said. He said none of the young people who overdosed meant to get high or unconscious, and none had more than one or two drinks."

I went to a frat party once with a male friend and will never forget him sternly telling me to not accept a drink from anyone but him. I told him not to worry, that I wasn't going to drink alcohol and he insisted "not even a soda." If I was going to drink anything, he was going to get it for me. That was over 35 years ago. Sad how much things haven't changed. Well, except 35 years ago, there were still some young men who looked out for young women. The fact that no one at these "parties" helped that poor girl is one of the more horrible aspects of this already horrible crime.

It's too bad the young men involved in this don't just come out and personally say they are sorry, e.g., quit talking through lawyers. But horrible if they are sending this stuff to the victim, her parents, or posting on the internet... just more proof they are cowards in the face of being found out and trying to justify horrible behavior. Their parents would do well to keep their mouths shut - I find it sickening that are even granting interviews since it's pretty apparent their sons engaged in inappropriate and despicable behavior. I don't want to hear, he's a good boy or and awesome kid.

STEUBENVILLE - An attorney representing one of two Steubenville High School student-athletes who have been charged in an alleged rape case filed motions in Jefferson County juvenile court Friday that seek a change of venue, ask that the upcoming trial be closed to the public and media and request a continuance of the trial.

Visiting Judge Tom Lipps took part in a conference call with juvenile court officials on Friday concerning the motions filed by Madison. The court did not release copies of the motions that were filed on Friday, but the motions will be made available to the media next week, a juvenile court official said.

Lipps has scheduled a hearing on Madison's motions for 1 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the juvenile courtroom at the Jefferson County Justice Center.

The media will be allowed to have attorneys present on Jan. 25 to argue that the Feb. 13 trial should not be closed to the press.

Well... I, for one, was interested in the article revealing facts surrounding the 14 year old who had similar events happen to her...

and the article on CS is one I have been hoping to see since I read/listened to KnightSec revelations...

Well, now you are confusing me. I looked again and don't see anything in the article about CS that says his father is the sheriff. Can you point me to it?

They now have Ohio Attorney General, DoJ, FBI all reviewing the case. If one respected legal mind, not a paid TH, scrutinizes the record and says Jane Hanlin did anything irregular or sketchy under the circumstances, if the webmaster's house is raided and evidence of a rape/child ring is produced, I will stand corrected and own up to it. I'm not going to bet against the gambling op, I'm not an idiot. Questioning the anything goes reporting does not mean I am defending/excusing the boys. Is the statistic 30+ sexual crimes every day in the United States? And the vast majority of those work their way successfully through the courts without massive media attention or Anonymous intervention.

1. There are definitely more than 30+ sexual crimes every day in the US. Try THOUSANDS. Sexual harassment, rape, molestation, sexual assault, child ..only 30 a day? I wish!

2. I highly doubt that the majority of sexual crimes make their way successfully through the court system. The rape conviction is very low, and many rapes go unreported.
