Not sure where that timeline came from re: the PD article updates - the earliest archived copy I found was Sept. 2, 4:55 PM, and it contained the Goddard info. In this interview Rachel Dissell talks about Goddard, and how Goddard helped her with the Sept. article:

The Timeline info was from the Steubenville Herald Star Online PDF I linked to a day or two ago.
http://www.heraldstaronline.com/pdf/news/582064_1.pdf

I mostly inserted it for myself so I could see when it was that Rachel Dissell hit town and started reporting. I suppose it confused some people, sorry.

Thanks for the Dart Center interview. The content is similar to the NPR interview I linked to today. So, it seems like Dissell started working with or sharing info with Goddard very early on before all the big wig NYTimes folks came to town and the masked unknowns got their hooks into it. So, thats good!

Myself, I had really formed no prior opinion on Goddard because I had never heard of her before maybe last week and really knew nothing about her. I still don't know much about her, except one of the Steubenville families filed a lawsuit against her which forced her website off line for a time. I believe the suit was recently settled. That's the extent of my knowledge about her.

I enjoyed the radio interviews, I.B. Nora, thanks for all the links you are providing, but especially that one. I will call myself a Rachel Dissol fan.

If I have not been clear: I'm very inclined to believe TM & MR are guilty of assaulting this girl when she was beyond the ability to consent. I firmly believe anyone who witnessed, photographed or had 2nd or 3rd hand knowledge but did not take any sort of action is reprehensible. I can see why questions were raised initially with the online evidence looking the way it did and only two people charged. But to then go on a crusade to destroy reputations and careers without all of the facts is just as reprehensible. JMHO

I read the lawsuit complaint filed by CS & his parents against AG & unknown defendants. It included many of her own statements and the comments from others she handpicked to post on her blog.
I concur with pretty much everything you say here, but especially about Rachel Dissell, I think she is fabulous!!! The best new thing in the last few days.

I linked the first article Rachel Dissell wrote on the case a few pages back. I believe it was dated 8/25 or 8/26.

Here is the link to the CS vs AG lawsuit. I apologize if it has been shared before. It was dismissed.

http://randazza.files.wordpress.com...lief-and-for-monetary-judgment-2012-11-19.pdf

So, let me get this straight... CS posts pictures of a rape victim on twitter for his followers, calls her a sloppy 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and says he has "no sympathy for 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬". Then his mom sues a blogger who referred to him as "Cody Manson" and posted his own tweets about the assault -- and tried to sue everyone else on the internets who participated in the conversation.

And the result of that lawsuit was... that the lawsuit against the blogger was dismissed and CS made a public apology?

Heh.

Did you read the document? She did quite a bit more than post his own words & instagram pics, but the 1st amendment made it a tough case to begin with. People adept at avoiding being served seem especially trustworthy to me. :-/

I'm just guessing here, but referring to your kid as "awesome" after, I'm assuming, she saw those messages is probably a big reason he thinks it's ok to do what he wants. I think it's hysterical that they brought a legal action against her and they lost. Not only lost, but lost big.

:laughcry:

LADY! YOUR'E KID IS NOT AWESOME HE'S DEPRAVED!

They didn't lose the case because of the first amendment. They lost the case because it was baseless. IMO, the judge would not have ordered an apology if he thought the kid was right, but the defendant was hiding behind the first amendment.

Some of the statements she made on her blog wouldn't be covered by the first amendment, if they weren't true. JMO

To add to post #673 I have this to say. If he wasn't at the house how was it that he'd never seen anything this sloppy. Did he receive child 🤬🤬🤬🤬? I wish someone would delve deeper into that.

It's part of the court record, testified under oath by lead detective in October 2012. Derndit again!

What gets me the most with Abdalla is that he said he didn't see that 12 minute video until "3 days ago" - yet he also says that SPD had that video back in August. So, again, when SPD called in Abdalla, I guess he didn't even bother to review ANYTHING that SPD had in the investigative file. Or, was he "briefed" by SPD and "agreed" that the "case was already wrapped up" and there was nothing to see here - just move along?

Snipped from wise old owl who was discussing the radio interview.

What does that tweet by <TM> refer to, where he says he is getting into trouble for doing someone a 'favor."

I thought the CS apology was wrought under duress from Anonymous.

Abdalla didn't investigate the case, The police & sheriff are separate entities. Even if they collaborated I don't think its that odd if some didn't inspect every single piece of evidence.

Has he ever been asked, or is this where the seed of the "master plan" was hatched?

As far as I know the apology was a part of the court settlement that they lost.

ETA: post 676 at the top of this page confirms that it was part of the court settlement.

I believe CS asked TM and possibly others to humiliate the girl because she either snubbed him or broke up with him. There are different reports. I'm not sure, but I believe it's one of those.

If I'm wrong I hope they edit my posts, but if they're already named in the national media it's ok, I think.

Just initials. Thanks for checking.

Bumpity. This is a response to Gardenlady when she asked about the posts being edited.

I think there is a case for using their full names, fwiw.
