Has WS Admin lifted the requirement to post initials for minors?

Not just minors. We are using initials all around.First name and last initial is fine too.
TO's will be given for those that continue to violate.

Also if you do not include links for your articles your post will be removed. When mods have time they search for the article and insert the link for you- but we're not going to do that anymore.
Don't forget no more than 10% of an article may be C&P here PLUS a link.
If the article says that it cannot be reproduced-copied etc anywhere- then just include a link and the title of the article.
Thanks.

The pictures I linked from the article have the minors full names on them. Should I remove them and then just put in initials and write what they said instead? :waitasec:

So, let me get this straight... CS posts pictures of a rape victim on twitter for his followers, calls her a sloppy 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and says he has "no sympathy for 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬". Then his mom sues a blogger who referred to him as "Cody Manson" and posted his own tweets about the assault -- and tried to sue everyone else on the internets who participated in the conversation.

And the result of that lawsuit was... that the lawsuit against the blogger was dismissed and CS made a public apology?

Heh.

Yep, he is a real class act. Couple other things I'd add. First, her blog was never "forced offline" by the lawsuit. The lawsuit was supposed to scare her off and shut her up, but it didn't. Second, those quotes in the complaint were taken from the message board after CS and/or his buddies started posting there trashing the victim, Goddard's blogs, and anyone who had the nerve to be upset over this incident. Accusing her of lying about the existence of the N. video and of photoshopping graphics. That is also when she began moderating comments - mentioned upthread as 'handpicking' posts. She refused to allow attacks on the victim. The blogs are still there for anyone who wants to read them.

What the family accomplished by this lawsuit, IMO, was to make him look even more of an 🤬🤬🤬 but it also showed people how these people bully and throw around their perceived weight. It brought in several offers of pro bono legal help for Goddard and the others named in the suit, bringing even more outside interest in the case on twitter and other blogs. Their threats against Goddard and accusations of her manipulating what she had captured eventually brought in Anonymous. What she herself posted as fact was truth, still is, and it's still there. She, and all of us, are also allowed to have opinions as long as they are labeled as such, and AFAIK anything she posted as opinion was pretty clearly that. I also happen to agree with most of those opinions, but can see how CS and others were made uncomfortable reading them. eta: Yes, another result was his apology. She agreed to restate that where she didn't label something as fact it was opinion or conjecture (which she had repeatedly posted anyway), and he agreed to apologize for his behavior.

Re: the PD's first article. That is a pretty good example of what the media was reporting originally. There was a rape and two football players were arrested for it. Not quite the whole story...
I was apparently not clear on my questioning the timeline posted here of updates to the Sept 2 article. My point was basically that the reporter did use Goddard when writing it and that her info about Goddard was there originally. The timeline assumed it was added much later. The archive (available online) of the actual article as posted on Sept.2 included it and then I later found the interview where the reporter actually talked their collaboration.

The pictures have been removed. So we are all good.
Please do not reproduce or rewrite- Peeps can follow the links and read everything in its entirety at the source.
Thanks SD.

Never mind, I just saw that you clipped the pictures. That answers my question.

I thought the CS apology was wrought under duress from Anonymous.

Abdalla didn't investigate the case, The police & sheriff are separate entities. Even if they collaborated I don't think its that odd if some didn't inspect every single piece of evidence.

It wasnt wise to comment about it, then. Less is more...I think this is a lesson (hopefully) the Sheriff has learned.

In the case of the video, it is a key piece of evidence imo regardless of whether or not MN is drunk, or practicing his new material or whatever.

1.) It relates details
2.) It shows a minor (MN) high on something
3.) It records other people stating a high level of concern regarding the victim, to the point that they go to check on her.
4.) It shows, IIRC, the location of the attack in spite of MN's atty denying that he was at the same location.

It is key to me because it shows the unraveling of the cover stories that had been put out there.

I still think MN is or was involved directly, but that is jmo. Part of it is based upon his attitude (his glee) part of it is because the details he was relating in that video seem to be similar to what was alleged. So, I think at a minimum he is one of the witnesses who chose not to do anything. And he knows much more imo...

The right thing to do is to step forward, dump it all and lift that burden from yourself because whatever you imagine the consequences to be, it cant possibly be as bad as pretending the things you did/said were remotely acceptable. I am not directing this at him, per se. I think there are probably a lot of people in that boat here.

I am with LinTX on this one.

I'm wondering why the State of Ohio has has not shut down Steubenville"s sports for this hate crime. A message needs to be sent that you do not treat women and girls like this.
Disgusting!

Did people say they were going to check on the victim, or were they just tired of the 'show' and leaving?

:waitasec:

I dont remember anyone on the video saying they were tired of the show and leaving, but maybe people did. Were they referring to the MN show or the show in the basement I wonder?

This purports to be a transcript from the N<modsnip> video and it was done at prinniefied: (I have not checked it for accuracy)

<modsnip>

It is almost worse to read then it was to hear. One thing it seems to make clear to me is MN says something to the other people there who are horrified by his schtick-he indicates that they didnt see how she was when they carried her out.

So maybe it was over by the time the video was shot.

There doesn't appear to be any jump cuts. I'm pretty sure it's a continuous video.

I called it the show, the least funny stand-up comedy routine ever. The people who left just seem disgusted with all the yuks. I didn't catch the dialogue at that point.

Thanks for the clarification, hollyjokers. If you get a chance check out prinnefield.com's transcript.....

This case makes me want to primal scream. :furious:

I meant her attack at that particular residence, Steely. Sorry for being unclear. :blushing:

I looked at that, I don't think it got as far as where people were leaving the room. I would've liked to see what was being said when JH & his girlfriend walk in at the end, but I just don't want to sit through it again.
