To add to post #673 I have this to say. If he wasn't at the house how was it that he'd never seen anything this sloppy. Did he receive child 🤬🤬🤬🤬? I wish someone would delve deeper into that.

I agree with you Steely Dan, he spoke in the first person and not as a spectator. IMO, he was there and saw it all and most probably participated in the rape.

I agree too. I feel pretty strongly, again JMVHO, that there is much more to the MN story than we are being led to believe by his atty. They have backpedaled once already.

I have been reflecting on the mechanics of this situation-I have been trying to understand what makes these young men willing to be involved in such a graphic, horrendous, shocking crime. And to do it in the full view, apparently, of their peers.

And I stumbled upon this CNN OP ED from August 23, 2012. It was written by a woman who has spent her life documenting victims of rape, most notably in combat areas like Bosnia and the Congo. But there are some valid questions here and some provocative information that might be useful for creating a dialog between men and women. JMVHO. **GRAPHIC Language and Situations**

It is no surprise to me. Let us not forget the comments about " legitimate" rape and the other equally revolting ones from lawmakers here in the US a couple of months ago.

Let's be careful about turning this around on the victim.
In the Haidl case, Jane Doe had been anally and vaginally raped and she had no idea AT ALL. She had one drink and that is the last she remembers. Not until the tape of the entire event surfaced did she know what happened.
If she didn't know what was going on- she could not have given consent. period.

I never meant that she gave consent. Just that she may not remember if she did, which would suggest she was in no condition TO consent. I was only suggesting she might have been concerned enough by the urine in her hair and clothing (NOT just her pants, as if SHE had wet HERSELF), or at least if I was in her shoes, I'd have called the people I was with to ask what had happened.

...He added that the picture that seems to show M<modsnip> and his client carrying the girl from one room to the next as sheÂ’s seemingly unconscious is not what it seems.

“Out of context, it’s outrageous,” Madison said. “In context, maybe the shutter flashed when her eyes were blinking. I can tell you she was not unconscious.”...

For the record, his client is T**** R*******, who is NOT Hanlin's son C****** K*****. This would mean that the two charged are the ones in the photo... that is to say, M*** and R*******.

If she was not unconscious then WHY was she being carried from party to party
by her wrists and ankles? What conscious girl allows herself to be carried like a corpse from place to place like that?

And of course, it's only in the moment the photo was taken that the girl let her head flop back loosely like a rag doll...

The coverage couldn't have been too lax: the football team was heckled and ridiculed at every opposing venue they went to.

Once again, I must point out the two defendants were initially charged as severely as possible, as adults. The judge felt it did not meet the standard under Ohio Law to move up from juvie. He ruled against kidnapping since it was her choice to go with defendants after first party. And she was conscious at that point. Just because evidence hasn't been shared with the public, doesn't mean it is being swept under the rug.

So... if I agree to ride to the corner store with someone, and s/he slips something in my Diet Pepsi that knocks me out and I wake up alone on the ground in a state park a hundred miles away 4 hours later, it's not kidnapping, since I willingly got in the car? It seems that if this person took me someplace OTHER than where I consented to going, it is kidnapping.

Why hasn't this video been studied by experts against possible suspects and/or witness'? Michael Colin Nodianos is the only one they seem to care about.

BTW, he also makes a joke "What if she had a black baby"

Actually, I thought he said what if she had a DEAD baby (in keeping with his assertion that SHE was dead). I may have missed a reference to a BLACK baby... could you tell me what time in the video that happens?

Can you somehow provide a link showing that her son WAS in the photo? I know one of the defendants has been identified by his attorney. However, it seems THAT PHOTO was from an earlier party (earlier in the YEAR, not the EVENING), the victim was not our Jane Doe, and while it is POSSIBLE that C***** K***** is in that photo, it has been stated that the photo is not from the night in question. So while he was at a party where a girl was unconscious and carried by two boys, it doesn't prove he was at the August 11 party.

To quote the article "Madison (attorney for M***) says his client did nothing wrong that night in August, and that the Internet fervor has come “dangerously close to hijacking” his client’s right to a fair trial. He and Nemann (R*******'s attorney) also told The Daily Beast—as did two of the victim’s friends, separately—that the other accused football player, T**** M****, was dating the victim. Any sexual activity that night was “consensual,” Madison said.

Added Nemann: “My client asserts his innocence. He is looking forward to the trial.”

He added that the picture that seems to show M*** and his client (R*******) carrying the girl from one room to the next as sheÂ’s seemingly unconscious is not what it seems."

Neither R********* nor M*** is Hanlin's son. C****** K***** is her son, and has NEVER been identified as being in the photo.
I am so so sorry.. I got the identities of some of the boys mixed up in my mind.. And I put myself in Time Out for my mistake..

I have become a lurker so I do not make these errors... As the situation has obviously gone " over my head"...

I shall go back and delete my post.

I wish I could, but I watched it once and I had to force myself to do that. I'm not gonna watch it again. Sorry, I guess you'll have to listen to it yourself.

Please do not use the names of minors involved in this case unless and until they are charged as adults. You may use initials and you may link to articles with their full names, but you may not post their names on Websleuths at this time.

Thank you!

:tos:

bumping this up

If you have used a complete name best go back and edit your post.

What does that tweet by T**** M*** refer to, where he says he is getting into trouble for doing someone a 'favor."

IN THEORY TM was the one who kept calling the victim and pretending he liked her, at CS's request, so she'd let her guard down and make herself available for the "retribution rape" as CS presumably felt "humiliated" when she dumped him.
This is STRICTLY RUMOR, though I have read it online/in media, it has not been backed up with proof that this was a "revenge" scenario.

If I'm wrong I hope they edit my posts, but if they're already named in the national media it's ok, I think.

I did watch it. I thought it was gross. I have been trying to find the transcript posted (and deleted because it was on a source we can't use) to verify.

I hope that the new Ohio investigators sent to Steubenville to investigate this case are familiar with these options. If the FBI is there, I'm sure they are.

Delete doesn’t mean delete. There are multiple ways and places to retrieve information, and I’m not convinced that the Ohio AG – up until last week – had the resources or know how to conduct this type of technical forensics. More time may be needed to do a thorough investigation.

1. When you delete something on a PC, it is still there. I won’t go into details.

2. There are electronic fingerprints and details left in numerous places – on firewalls, ISP providers, backups, etc. For the coaches or LE officials who some think might be working counter to this case, the “older” generation uses email, and there will be logs and such available from the ISP who provides the email server.

3. Facebook: a court order or legally admissible subpoena will open up the floodgates, with 3 or more months of messages, updates, “deleted” posts, “friends”, even people’s profiles you just looked at. For example:

http://masterpiratewarreport.tumblr.com/

4. There are companies that store publicly available data from Facebook for 7 years! Social Intelligence is one company that is a pioneer in this area. They may also save Tweets!

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/21/t...-becomes-a-new-job-hurdle.html?pagewanted=all

5. Have they looked at 2nd tier social sites like Tumblr?

6. Have they tried to restore deleted iPhone messages? Here is one example.

7. Have they checked and recovered home computers, which could have been used to back up and synch iTunes?

8. Have they done any iPhone Forensics?

I hope that the FBI might be helping in some of these areas to nail some of the supporting jackals. (Not the kids who spoke up, or those who have been falsely accused.)
