A 14-year-old girl from Monroe County has been missing since Friday night and the sheriff’s office believes she may have been picked up to meet a man she had been communicating with online.

Sydney Rhea Keith was last seen getting into a tan minivan, possibly a Ford Windstar, around 8 p.m. Friday in Monroe County, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office didn’t say where Keith got into the van. A heavyset white woman was driving. Later that night, Keith is seen on bank ATM footage in Toledo, Ohio, shortly after withdrawing $280.

MONROE — Law enforcement officials are searching for a missing 14-year-old they believe was communicating with an unknown male on the Internet.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sydney Rhea Keith is believed to have gotten into a tan Ford Windstar at 8 p.m. Friday. Deputies said Sydney was seen talking to a “heavy-set white female who was in the driver’s seat” of the van. They do not know the vehicle’s plate number.

"The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has provided a few more details tonight. Sydney appeared at the Dearborn Heights Police Department about 7:30 p.m., “unharmed” and has since been reunited with her family.

The investigation is still ongoing; Dearborn Heights Police, Michigan State Police and FBI are assisting".
