OH OH - Taylor Robinson, 19, Akron, 3 May 2013

  • #81
just finding out about this case. sending my prayers for taylor up too. altho, after this long, i'm worried about the outcome. if she had a "new" little baby, i doubt she'd be gone this long willingly. was the ex the baby's father??

Just to clarify the "baby" is a puppy, not a person.

Police are not naming any suspects in the disappearance. Lt. Edwards said officers are trying to get more information from Taylor's ex-boyfriend, who has a lawyer and is being uncooperative.

The ex being "uncooperative" says a lot more to me about his involvement than his hiring of a lawyer.

It bothers me that this woman has been missing over a month and a half now and we have very limited information.

The ex-boyfriend being uncooperative is very worrisome.

I think what we have here is another one of "those" cases...

Private eye releases suspect profile in disappearance of 19-year-old Akron woman Taylor Robinson

"Dimoff, a former Akron police detective, said he believes that Robinson was kidnapped and that the crime is not a secret. Although, he's not sure if more than one person could be involved in her disappearance."

"Dimoff said he’s confident that Taylor was not the victim of a random act of crime.

Whoever met her at the door of her client’s house that night, “she definitely knew them quite well,” he said. With no sign of a struggle and her willingness to leave the house without shoes suggests “it was someone she interacted with over months, or years.”

Through interviews, Dimoff learned there were some conflicts going on in Taylor’s life, including with a former boyfriend.
There were also communications with someone that were so difficult, she broke down crying, but would not confide the source to friends or family.

“So I believe this person was someone she had a conflict with, and it was taking place before she disappeared,” Dimoff said. “It was not someone who stopped by and got in an argument. It was someone who had an ongoing dispute. Maybe there was information [Taylor] had that they didn’t want revealed, or it could be a relationship issue.”

Something seems off here. There clearly seems to be a divide between the PI and Akron PD. Also from the article quoted above,

Akron police said the grey pants were actually shorts belonging to a homeless person and the clothes are not connected to Robinson's disappearance.

Akron police said they have not received any solid new leads recently.

What the heck is going on? Is the PI leading the family on? Is Akron PD not taking the case seriously? (I somehow doubt the latter.)

It seems to me that the PI in this case has been front and center in the media. It is either because there is a real problem with LE or because this PI is a showboat trying to drive up his fees at the expense of family heartbreak.

Well, according to one of the articles there were clothes found, which included a bra. Another article said they were unable to determine if male or female, but my bet is a female.

Now, according to mapquest, this is only about 1/2 hour to hour from Cleveland.

Someone is going to get some bad news.
