A teen accidentally shot and killed himself Wednesday morning in an incident that was witnessed by a friend during a FaceTime call, police say.
According to WLWT Channel 5, a friend of the 14-year-old victim told a 911 dispatcher that the teen was holding the gun near his head and didn't think it was loaded.
The weapon went off and struck the teen in the face.
Reports on cincinnati.com say the victim was alone when the shooting occurred and that police do not know where he obtained the handgun. A 911 caller told a dispatcher the gun belonged to the victim's father, fox19.com reports.
