OH - 'This is very bizarre': Akron resident finds a dead stranger in his house

AKRON, Ohio — Akron Police are investigating after a resident found a dead stranger inside him home.

During a call to a 911 operator the resident said, "I have some strange guy upstairs in my house and he's passed out."

As the operator asked questions, the man who lives in the home added, "I don't know who it is, and I didn't even know he was here until I just went upstairs and seen somebody laying on the floor."

Akron Police are investigating after a homeowner reported coming home to find a 32-year-old man unconscious in his home.

A handgun and several shell casings were recovered from the scene. Detectives from the Crime Scene Unit and Major Crimes Unit responded to collect evidence and begin a preliminary investigation.

The victim has been identified by the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office as Andrew J. Cassell of Uniontown. His cause of death was ruled as due to gunshot wounds to the head and chest.

No arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.

is it possible he shot himself in the chest and then was able to shoot himself in the head right away?

or did someone chase him into the house and the door just happened to be unlocked and the homeowner just happened to not be home and the killer just happened to leave the gun at the scene?
