I just read about this. Incredible. Lots of crazy things going on in cases these days.

My stepdaughter lives in Chardon. So, yeah, this one hits home.

WKYC has a statement up on the news from Chardon High. School officials have been in contact with Law Enforcement and are monitoring the situation.

TJ Lane's former attorney tweeted this tonight.

"#TJLane I've been asked whether he is a danger. Answer is no one ever wants to return to prison for a life sentence. Plus, case facts speak,"

What do we know about the guy he escaped with? He's significantly older than TJ which is concerning - he was set for release in a few years I believe so why jeopardize that to run away with a teenager?

Does the second escapee have any family in the area? Someone's got to be helping them...

WEWS says Allen County Police will hold a press conference at 1:30, but it's 1:36 so IDK if that's running late or already going on and the NE Ohio crews don't have anyone there to cover.
