LE is not naming the suspect now, because he hasn't been charged and is a minor. But, media is.

Guy reporting now - interviewed one student who was an eyewitness. Student said he heard 10 shots and that he knew the gunman. Shooter was an "average" kid but witness said he knew the shooter was having some "family" problems. Witness said shooter looked him straight in the eye and then looked away.

From reporter on phone at hospital - 18 yr old female in stable; 17 yr old male in serious. Hospital has not confirmed death.

FBI brought in battering ram at the house! Trying to get into various out buildings. Keep moving media back. What have they found in those houses?

This is so sad and so, very preventable. Metal detectors need to be put into all schools - high schools. Our children are not safe anymore, anywhere. We need to put making schools safe a high priority - walk through scanners are really not that expensive consdiering what they will prevent and the peace of mind they will give EVERYONE that works on school campuses.

Neighbors saying they were "aware" of this family and would hear "target shooting" going on at this home.

Trying to brace myself here for those inevitable interviews with neighbors detailing the scores of red flags that were ignored, or that LE was unable to do anything about because no real crime had been committed - yet. :maddening:

Prayers for the student who lost his life, and for all those affected by this cowardly act.
