It's not that far away from me, but although where I live is bilingual (French/English), you will find people that can't speak English in Trois-Rivières. Trois-Rivières is very, very French. It's possible that your email or online correspondence got lost in translation (or "oops...did I accidentatlly delete this email I didn't understand...."). Now, I'm only assuming that you don't speak French, but if you do (this is what I would do, as I can stumble through a phone call in my distant second language...) is call them: 819-374-1314. Ask them if they have a missing persons section or contact.

I've done a quick sweep of any French-only sites, and there is not a lot out there on Lucie's disappearance and definitely no one to contact about it. I think Lucie is a good possibility for Buckskin Girl, by the way.

Paisley, is their any way you can please act as a liaison for this case? It is an international call from the US, and trying to get US investigators pick up the phone and call the RCMP is like pulling teeth. I have submitted one possible Canadian MP to several different agencies for this case and not one of them has replied, which leads me to believe, unless someone can go tap on an officer's shoulder and say, hey, take a look, they're not going to do anything.

hi guys, thank u so much for replying. so I don't know what time it is where you all are but it's 20.33 here. I've spent all day googling and emailing police departments in the USA and Canada.
I do not speak French, although I should become France isn't far from the UK.
I really need help because I really truly believe it's her.

their agony must be what I can only describe as heart breaking
also if someone can point me to the buckskin Detective I'm happy to pay for her remains to be pulled if its not too much.

I hope you have solved it! (But try not to get your hopes up too much. So often I see people who look just like the UID end up not being a match). I can't help with the submitting and contacting Canada but I'm sure someone here in this thread will. Thank you for bringing up Lucie. :loveyou:

BG could be from Canada according to the isotope tests. Lucie is from Canada. They share the same height and their facial features are really similar in my opinion. To me, their noses are identical. Lucie really needs to be submitted as a potential match for Buckskin Girl.
On one hand, I hope Lucie is alive and well, but on the other hand I'd really like to see this case solved, you know what I mean? :/

One thing I did notice is the route from Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada to her destination (with her friend) of Vancouver is a 46 hour drive and it dips into the US to make that trek.

It's just a lot of years to be missing with no contact (1973) untill 1981. But there is a strong resemblance so maybe she lost contact intentionally and then something happened to her here in the US in 1981 and her family never knew.

I have always believed she came from Canada....just seems too odd to not be recognized here in US. But, hoping for the best.

Good luck with your calls and reaching out to authorities. Glad you have taken such an interest...this case has kept me mezmerized for years.
