Mathew Hoffman has been arrested for kidnapping. He owns the home where Sarah Maynard was found bound and gagged.

"Matthew Hoffman, 30, who lives in the home, was taken into custody after the raid, Barber said, and faces a kidnapping charge. Additional charges are expected, Barber said."

"Matthew Hoffman was convicted of setting fire to a Steamboat Springs, Colo., condominium complex, causing $2 million in damage. "

jmo, but I really dont think family and close friends of these missing people are on their computer reading FB. To each their own, but FB is totally unreliable info, I dont want to see it thats for sure. I have read several articles on on line newspapers and they all seem to have this same sort of bs, then people jump all over them. I dont understand the bs nor the people that are posting telling others how to post.

Prayer and good police work will solve this case. Every tip will be checked on. We need to keep at it, and find those possible tips.

i wonder what caused them to search the gravel pits? i know from reading the "comments" of local news articles that some are claiming that some piece of clothing may have been found... BUT considering that these gravel pits are a public swimming area and we are just finishing the summer season i would think a great deal of discarded/lost summer items would be found in the area??

I Google Earthed Fountain Square, I only see one body of water I just cant figure out how one person, if thats the case, actually handled 4 people and the dog. I thought of a case from years ago. A man killed 8 nurses all in one apartment. only one person servived. Maybe total fear also happened on this case.

I'm not a member of FB and don't especially care, but the page is cleaned up this morning and an apology from its owner, plus compliments on the cleanup are posted. Its most current posts are very consistent with the news articles above now.

This doesn't sound good.... :( ... my heart breaks for the family and the waiting period - waiting to grieve? waiting for a happy reunion? I honestly think at this point that the other three are no longer living. I do believe it was only a matter of time before MH killed Sarah, and I applaud the sheriff's dept for deciding to go in and get her, rather than negotiating a hostage situation, etc. If they had done that, it could have ended up a murder/suicide. Alot of cases don't turn out like this - where at least one person is recovered alive. (And I still hope they others are found - but probably not likely... :()

Takes me back to Shaniya - the video footage and everyone hoping that she would be found alive, in a hotel room somewhere, etc. Maybe that's why finding Sarah is touching me so much - and probably others here: it embodies the hope that was held for all the others that weren't found alive or found at all.

(Sorry for the emotional dump - typing it out helped me process it more. Thanks... )

don't have to apologize, belimom...my heart sank when I saw Steadfast's post....I thought about Sarah & her dad - how they must be in such anguish - not knowing what's happened. :(

FWIW Reporter Mike McCarthy (Fox28) stated LE were focusing on some woods in the park after a patrolman spotted something there earlier.

Morning all. I had taken a break after the Zahra case, and just saw this. Do we have maps of where they are searching? I can't find anything on Google Maps of this Foundation Park.
Thanks!

Last nights news cast - (click Missing Persons on the left) under the Monday Forecast

It says blood was found in two different spots in Tina's home.

I can't help but think that they were still in the home when LE checked Wed night. With four people and a dog missing, I think the truck was used to transport all of them later Wed night/early Thurs morning. I think he went there on foot, left via the truck, and somehow made it back to the home on Columbus Rd afterwards.
