Seems strange "I'm a killer full of rage & today is the day, I've got my tarp(s) and garbage bags ready to chop up the bodies, hang on, I must not forget a chicken sandwich"

LOL, now people are going to start posting about a chicken sandwich. It was a deli sandwich contents unknown, AFAIK.

It the clothing in that picture is not purple, then I must be colorblind or something. Sure looks purple to me also.

Due to differences in monitor calibration and setup, colors (especially blues/purples) will look different on every single computer. I wouldn't take what you're seeing at face value unless you're a graphic designer and your monitors have been color calibrated. :o

IIRC, MSM has reported the receipt found in both houses.

Who knows what to believe about it.

It would be horrible if the 3 are tied up somewhere and they die from lack of food and water.

just a thought here. it was asked if MH had an online presence and mentioned since he didn't have electric...probably not. MH was at the college the first time LE spoke with him. if he frequented that college he may have used their library. many colleges allow public to use their computers. so it still is possible he has online presense. i can't check anything out since i'm on an old pc...windows 98 lol and it won't even let me click on links here without getting illegal procedure. but perhaps someone else can. from the description of MH i would check survival sites. seems to fit his personality.

You have to scroll down to see the article:

Bazetta woman recalls suspect in central Ohio kidnapping

Alice Morelli says a teenage Matthew J. Hoffman, who lived next door to her until 1997, frequently hung out with buddies in the woods behind his house.

He always appeared to be unhappy and acted strangely, she said. “He was really lost. He was on a bad path,” she said of the boy, then 14 to 16 years old.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that he probably wouldn't have fit in too well, sitting in the Kenyon library (Kenyon: $$$$).

Mount Vernon's Public Library does have computers though, and that would be closer to his house.

But no one knows when he lost his electricity either. He could have had access up until then.

That's for sure!
Just like the different reports about where Stephanie's vehicle was found, who made the missing persons call, the time of the text from TH to GB, and the different descriptions about the blood found in TH's home.........anything else?

Agreed. But the strange thing is that, IIRC, they found the receipt at Tina's house. So either he kept everything in the bag and brought the bag in with him, or it fell out of his pocket while he was at the house (possibly during a struggle?). That's a huge mistake for a seasoned criminal to make. I don't think MH is as bright as some have claimed.

im not sure what i think of the receipt... i sorta think he may have used one of the victims debit/credit cards for his little wal-mart trip right in the middle of all this?? i guess i thought it odd that a guy who reportedly never goes to the grocery store because its cheaper to eat squirrels would buy a deli sandwich with his own money - kwim?

According to this article - receipt was found at Hoffman's. But - so much of the reporting has been quite - well - awful, so fwiw:

Barber told reporters Tuesday that police had discovered a Walmart receipt for tarps, garbage bags and a T-shirt at Hoffman's home.

From what I'm reading now, it was the tarp and the trash bags that were found at Tina's house.

The reporting is very confusing. Now LE is close mouthed on where the receipt was found. But early on, it was rumored (reported?) that they got MH's address from the receipt. It's near impossible to nail down any facts with all the conflicting reports.

RN is also stating that they were adult sized sweatpants on FB.

I was reading that FB page last night and if it's the same girl, she kept insisting that at first they thought it was a sweatshirt, but when LE picked it up, it was definitely determined to be pants. Not only pants, but adult-sized, not kids'. She was very vehement about all this, saying she was "right there" the whole time.

IMHO, since we found out that this was a popular hang-out site, I'm thinking they'll not link this article of clothing to the missing victims.

This particular source has been discussed here, but according to her he was "skilled with computers" which would not surprise me if true. I got the impression the lack of utilities/electricity was recent.

Donna said Hoffman was skilled with computers, and spent many hours on his before the electricity and gas were shut off to his house.

I'm a graphic designer and my monitor is color calibrated and, unless the photo is not representative of the true color of the sweats, they're purple.

ETA: It could be that the photo just has a lot of magenta and is turning the dark blue to purple.

this is all so messed up

He also says a Wal-Mart receipt listing tarps and trash bags has been found, but would not say where or when.

I'm a graphic designer, and my monitor is color calibrated. That clothing item is purple.
