And here’s the Google earth image of the retention pond they never searched.
Seems like his body would have surfaced. I’m not familiar with that pond though, so is there something that would have prevented it from surfacing? TIA

For those unfamiliar with the area here are the walking directions to Hilton from Abbott Labs. He was turned around over there and in the red circle is the swampy retention pond that’s never been searched. Searchers can’t get in it. It’s basically swamp.
This is incorrect. His phone pinged at Abbott's Ross Park campus at 3300 Stelzer Road. The building you've mapped is a smaller office building used by Abbott, but it is about a half mile from the much-larger Ross Park campus where his phone pinged. This information was provided by the CPD in their press conference. The Abbott location on your map (and the pond in the photo) has no relevance to this case.

That was just his last ping, though. They have searched the pond/woods *northwest of that building, so it's not entirely irrelevant... but who knows.

Does anyone know which pond the cadaver dogs had a hit on? I couldn't find any information. I was browsing the Bring Tyler Davis Home Facebook group, and found an interesting comment left by a reporter local to the area a few years ago. Not sure if it was posted here.

I’m curious where Jessica is a reporter. I don’t see any links with her name to newspaper, TV, or radio in the Columbus area. It seems to me more like a rumor disguised as a news story. I guess I could join the Facebook group and see if her credentials are on her page.

Edit: she does work for Channel 6 Columbus, so that does give some credibility.

Yeah, for some reason she goes by Jessica Ralston in journalism but her last name is Roulston. Possible she's married but I dunno. Anywho, she is a real reporter.

Tyler's case is covered in the latest episode of "And Then They Were Gone".

I either had never heard of this case or had forgotten about it. VERY strange, especially that it is still not solved and no body found. Websleuths is mentioned in the podcast.

Thank you for posting this. I wonder about this case from time to time. It’s just so very sad.

I agree with the reporter Ralston, he's most likely buried underneath debris in that retention pond. Unless they completely drain it, they'll never find him. An accident is the Occam's Razor for me in this case. I suspect his wife's drink was spiked when she left it out on their table at the strip club to go out for a smoke. It would explain why the bouncer was so all fired anxious that Tyler and his friend leave immediately; if he were the spiker, he knew she was in the bathroom alone and that's just how he planned it. He didn't know that her husband drank it. It would also explain his weird confusion once they got back to the hotel; I don't think being tired and drunk would make him so out of it to that extent. He was mad and simply wanted to "walk it off", his mood and his inebriation/drugged state. He got lost and fell in the pond. MOO.

i think this is a good theory. i've heard a lot of stories about husbands/boyfriends (unknowingly) drinking spiked drinks that were meant for their partner **MOO**

edit: although i do remain suspicious of the friend...there just seems to be so much missing information. He went with Tyler on the walk but then returned without him? i'm not accusing him of anything but it's just weird and we're not seeing the whole picture **JMO**

I've seen drunk people who get really mean when they are told, "give me the keys". I imagine the friend went after Tyler, tried to reason with him and Tyler told him to get lost. Friend backs off, gives him his space and leaves him alone to cool off. I don't really think there was anything to it and he's been cleared by the police. MOO.

The bit of scuffle shown earlier in the thread says to me there was a bit of cooling off needed by all!

i didn't know the police had cleared him, thanks for the info good to know.
from all accounts and the videos, tyler definitely seemed like he was angry/irritated. i'm curious if that was a normal state for him to be in while intoxicated? can d*te r*pe drugs cause extreme mood changes/anger?

Just saw this case on That Chapter [done about a month ago] and thought it suspect the friend never searched for TD? Is that correct info??? If so, that is telling, but I dont want to be pointing any fingers at anyone... only an observation.

Additionally, I dont believe his friend cleared by LE? Supposedly, he retained counsel which I cant blame him. Anyone know about friend not doing any searches for TD?

all is a matter of opinion- new to case - Thank you in advance

Hey Arielilane! I love listening to Mike’s recaps. We often say, “Let’s give it a goo!”

The odd thing to me is the friend leaving before Tyler came back. Why not wait 5 minutes. I wonder if he picked him up and took him somewhere else? Perhaps they fought and the friend was mad and went back to him and something happened. What's five minutes at that point?

What about the ping at Abbott Labs? Wasn't that the last one? Perhaps his phone was thrown in the water behind the building or he is in that water. I think he is within 3 miles of the Hilton. He was either robbed and killed or simply killed and hide. The reason I think the latter is what happened is because I don't think his or her cards were ever used again nor was her ID ever located. He had all that on him.
