I'm not sure if it's related, but I did find some info online about a condo being foreclosed on in the name of Darlene Norcross in West Chester Township in 2015. I wonder if she missed payments after her disappearance, leading to foreclosure.
I don’t know about US foreclosure law, but if this had happened in Canada it’s likely the bank would be forced to pay the amount realized by the foreclosure back to the estate and eat any costs they incurred. Not that they did anything wrong; it’s just that you can’t sue a dead person, and that includes foreclosure.
