I am a lot more concerned with the 🤬🤬🤬 who took her than i am with how the news reported it. the two main stories actually work together. The dad and some friends went to put air in the tire, and a man came to the door at that time to ask to use the phone. kid went in to get it and came back to disappearance.

Whether the dad or mom are solid citizens or not, I am sure they love their little girl and are horrified at what happened. It is the fault of the 🤬🤬🤬 who took her and assaulted her that concerns me. Family issues can be sorted out later.

bbm: this cannot be understated

folks: I am using what I bolded above as a reminder about how we discuss family members here at websleuths. Please and thank you.

What is wrong with that article? They say shes' been SA'd and still use her full name. I get that it's difficult when they are first missing, but its' a gesture to remove the name, even if everyone already knows it. The point is over time , people will forget the name if it's not in their face all the time. I can think of 2 similar cases here where the names were used heavily and then removed and even though I followed both from the first few hours, I cannot remember their names. Maybe I block them out !
Poor little angel. I wish her mom could be home with her to help her. I so wish we could turn back time :(

I was thinking how helpless her mom must have felt (I am sure they told her) and wish she could be home too, i am sure the little girl wants her mom. I just watched her dad before she was found and he sounded devastated. I don't get the feeling there is a lot of money for counselling available, hope someone steps up and ensures she gets it.

She is a victim and as such the state can assist with counseling needs. They just need to find this perp. There are so many sickos right in her area, surely it won't be too hard .

Bond $50,000!

That's it????

I had the same reaction. Sounds like that's just for abduction. Hopefully more charges will be filed once hospital tests results are released.

IMO he should be held without bail.

Here is a listing of the perps arrests. His name is Zachary R. Dunn birthday 11-15-1982
Residence: Oak Hill, Ohio. You need to input his name into the search bar to get the results. Arrests are non violent: underage consumption, speeding, no seatbelt, disorderly conduct, petty theft.

Didn't I read in one article that the 15 year old she was left with was actually her teen brother's (who left with dad) friend?

OK, here's where I saw it, down before the most recent update:

The girl’s father said he had left his daughter with a 16 year-old friend of her brother's while he went to help his son fix a flat tire.

(can someone make that link smaller?)

Unfortunately, foster care is the right thing to do right now, IMO, until this mess gets sorted out. I hope that CPS doesn't drop the ball and gets this young lady the help she will need to thrive.

BTW: I'm curious as to why she was placed in foster care instead of being released to her Dad. Maybe I answered my own question, sort this mess out.

Someone posted up-thread (sorry, I can't remember the poster's name) but she found both parents have had child abuse charges in the past. This baby is going need lots of love, a stable home & therapy I predict.

I have a huge! huge! problem with a $50,000 bond. In my county that means they only have to come up with $5,000 to get released. I wonder if it is different there or other stipulations were included. I see this to often and it gives perps the opportunity to flee. Is abducting a child not worth more than a $50,000 bond in our society? Low bond amounts have to be changed when it comes to violent crimes, especially committed against children. IMO, there should be no bond or it should be set so high that it is impossible to achieve.

Yes. If they already had some 'family action plan' in place with CPS, they may have been found somehow in non-compliance with that plan. There also may have been things noted in the home in the last 24 hours which would precipitate a swift decision for removal.

I think in one article I even read that the health department is also familiar with the home...

A spokesperson for the Jackson County Health Department said the office is familiar with the S. family, citing several property maintenance issues.

13NEWS discovered that B***** S****** faced several child endangerment charges in 2004, 2007, and 2008, according to court documents.
