I agree that "something" happened to her-- based on her nakedness. I have been outraged that the media has continued to use her name since the day she was found that way.

I agree that it is the decent thing to do and ought to be an automatic gesture on the parts of MSM, but in my heart of hearts I think this poor child wouldn't have anonymity anyway, and having her name printed is the least of her pain.

If what I suspect is true, this baby may have had similar things happen to her before. :banghead:

Ohio AG Mike Dewine and Prosecutor Justin Lovett announced Wednesday that a Jackson County Grand Jury indicted Zachary Dunn, 30, on three counts of kidnapping, two counts of abduction, rape, two counts of gross sexual imposition and felonious assault.

Bless that sweet girl.

Thank you mods for having the common sense and foresight to remove the victim's name from the threads LONG ago. Wish the media had been as prudent. At least they've stopped using her name now.

Dunn pleaded not guilty to all the charges during his arraignment in Jackson County Common Pleas court Friday morning.

Dunn’s bond remains at $500,000, 10% cash.

Prosecutors tell WSAZ.com Dunn asked that his bond be reduced. The judge denied the request.

It goes on to state that if found guilty of all counts, he could face life in prison w/o parole. Which sounds just fine by me.

Following the case of this poor sweet girl from the beginning. Reading the confirmation of what that monster did to her I want to type a string of curse words. I'll just say I hope he rots in.........

I think we all suspected what he did to her, especially once we found out she was found naked and bruised. Yet, I was foolishly holding out hope that she wasn't.

Later A$$Hat. Enjoy getting your just reward from your cellmate for life in prison !
That's the only silver lining in a case like this.

Poor little thing testified. Defense should be ashamed :stormingmad: http://www.timesjournal.com/news/article_a08c61a0-4101-563d-854e-6bd2dde7709c.html
Defense Attorney Douglas Francis cross-examined the witness. He began by reminding the victim of a person she talked to while at the hospital, and asked if she remembered talking to her. The victim said she did and that the lady was nice.
However, when Francis asked the victim if she remembered telling the lady that her brother had taken her to the park the night of the abduction, she adamantly stated, “I didn’t tell her that.” Francis next asked her about an acquaintance named Tallon, to which she said she didn’t know anyone by that name.
When Francis asked if she had gone to a party earlier on the day of the abduction, she said she had not gone to a party, she went swimming.
Finally, Francis asked her if anyone else was in the car when she was taken by “the man,” and she responded, “No.” Francis tried again, by saying, “Wasn’t Coonie in the car when you were taken,” and she again replied, “No.”

Justice! Verdict in. Guilty on 8 charges :jail: http://www.thetelegramnews.com/main.asp?SectionID=6&SubSectionID=83&ArticleID=22822

Jackson County Prosecuting Attorney Justin Lovett, who teamed with the Ohio Attorney General's Office on the prosecution, released the following statement regarding the case and the verdict:

"The six-year-old little girl in this case suffered horrific acts at the hands of Zachary Dunn, and I am thankful for everyone who has contributed to securing Dunn's deserved convictions for Kidnapping, Abduction, Rape, Gross Sexual Imposition, and Felonious Assault.

"I am most thankful to the jurors for their time, attention, and hard work during their extended service in this case, which quite possibly is the longest trial our county has ever had.

Glad to see justice served.

I'm hoping he gets LWOP. IMO, if he gets out in 10-20 years, he'd make sure his next victim didn't survive to accuse him...much like Cherish Perrywinkle's child-raping murderer (and RSO since 1993) Donald Smith did after he finished his previous prison stint for attempted kidnapping.
