OJ tossed from steakhouse restaurant in kentucky

the man had a pic of himself with OJ on the wall before the murders. if he is racist it would be a change of heart it would seem. sounds like he is just a good man who stands up for what he believes in.

I don't think it a funny story. how truly awful those three men were scared enough to leave the bar because they thought they may face retribution of some kind. what made them feel this may be a possibility? there's something rotten in the state of Denmark. :(

It was funny...funny as hell in fact.

I have no idea what made them feel that way because no one had said or done a thing to them. We were all staring at the TV with our mouths flopped open. We were an audience of white office worker professional types. Perhaps they were afraid the crowd would react they way that they would react if the verdict went the other way. Maybe they made some racially based assumptions. I can tell you that no one there would have bothered them in any way.

Not so much funny as telling. Often people assign rotten motives to others that are, in truth, their own worst secrets.

Simpsons' lawyers may have a hard time if they try to play the race card. Rumor has it that Michael Jordan and a few friends/family had dinner at the same restaurant just a few weeks ago,and the owner of the restaurant was more than honored to have Mr. Jordan dine at his establishment.

It's just a rumor .... but we'll see.

Mr. Ruby stated last night, that OJ had a party of 20 something, after he left, MJ and company a party of 30 something were seated in the same room that OJ had been in.

No race card to pull, OJ and his attorney have made an arse out of themselves once again.

Go Mr. Ruby, there should be more people like you around.

I'm sure the owners of those golf courses in Florida, allow OJ to be there all the time, becasue they are helping him look for the real killers.

Man I am so sick of this...

Whenever there is some kind of debate on race, it seems to get blown out of proportion on here...especially from a certain people. Makes you wonder how people really act.

My point on this story? OJ went to the owner and told him he understood and quietly left. Unless his lawyer was in that party, OJ or people in his group made it an issue after he left. More than likely to try and get money unjustifiably.

Let me let you all in on something if you haven't guessed about me. I'm black. My wife is on this forum too. She's white. She gets more fired up about the posts made on racial issues than I do. But when I heard on the news that OJ's lawyers were trying to play the race card, I screamed "bull***" For God's sake, the owner had a picture of him with his arm around OJ prior to the trial. This isn't a race issue, it's a decency issue. Even if OJ's lawyer was the one that pushed this, OJ should have found the decency to stop him.

But once again, I think this is OJ trying to get money. If you want my opinion (tough if you don't) I think he did commit the murders. All the evidence was basically pointing that he was the one. Who else would have done it...Kato???

I saw an interview with the restaurant's owner who said that O.J.'s blond date had a mini-temper tantrum before they left and the owner told her to be careful or she could be the next Nicole! PRICELESS!!!!!!

Funny story here....

We didn't decide to go find the closest black person and string them up. Sadly the same can't be said of the aftermath of the King verdicts.

LOL... if the jury would have done the right thing in that trial, then OJ may have been found guilty in his. I remember watching the video of Rodney King getting beaten within days of the story breaking and said, "Well, that guy is gonna be rich". For God's sake, how many cops does it take to subdue one man....even if he was resisting? It's hard to see the image of that one cop that was swinging his baton back and forth like a frustrated golfer...

OJ and "decent" can't be in the same sentence, gman. I am really shocked he hasn't killed again. I did hear he was stopped by LE for road rage and possibly has been reported for domestics in Fla. When people use the race card in this context it insults all who have been legitimately discriminated against. I hope OJ gets his eventually.

And they say Kentucky is backward!! ;)

Hurray for Mr Ruby! Proud to have him and restaurant here in Louisville. Just may have to go have a big ol dinner there just to say THANKS!

And of course it's going to be made into a race issue...especially on the heels of the Imus issue. I pray to God that OJ and his loser lawyer get nowhere and that Mr Ruby keeps on doing what he's doing!!!

lol MREG

Let me know if you go to dinner there, I'll join ya!! :)

I personally think the jury did exactly the right thing.

My personal opinion is that if you run in a vehicle from the cops, put the public at large in danger, and resist arrest once cornered...you get exactly what happens to you. But that's me. Had he surrendered even after the chase and not resisted, I dare say a hand wouldn't have been laid on him.

Rodney sure has shown that he was worthy of all that money he got...what 2 more convictions since then?

Let old Rodney kill your--the collective people here--family while running from the next set of cops and then we will see how your opinion of high speed justice changes. I bet you that if beatings like Rodney King got become the norm after a high speed chase, what do you think will happen to the rate of chases?
