*Change of Plea Hearing (@ 1:30pam CT) - OK – Athena Alexandria Brownfield (4) - Athena & her sister (5) were left alone on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023 but Athena was first reported missing on Jan. 10, 2023 after her sister was found walking alone near the town of Cyril by a postal worker & he contacted LE. (Athena was found on Jan. 17, 2023 in Rush Springs, Grady County property in a backpack; LE found out that she had been beaten & died on Dec. 25, 2022 from Alysia’s interrogation; Id’d on Jan. 26, 2023) - *Alysia Adina Adams aka Alysia Adina Galvan (31/now 33) arrested (1/12/23), charged (1/17/23) & arraigned (3/13/24) with 2 counts of child neglect – one for failing to supervise Athena's sister & another for failing to protect Athena from her husband’s physical abuse. Charges were amended (1/12/23) & arraigned (3/13/24) with 1st degree murder, obstruction of a public officer & 2 counts of child neglect. Plead not guilty. Bond @ $500K with restrictions if bonded out. DP will seek DP (2/14/24). Caddo County
Trial was set to begin on 9/23/24 was vacated.

10/7/24 Update: Both: Disposition docket hearing on 10/9/24 @ 1:30pm. The court will take guilty pleas. The Court will also hear motions & set trial dates on not guilty pleas. For Brownfield: Passed for further negotiations.
10/9/24 Update: Adams is expected to change her plea on 11/13/24. The court is expected to set a date for a sentencing hearing. Court records show negotiations between prosecutors & Jasmin Brownfield are underway & it is possible she could plead guilty at her next court date in January 2025.
*Jasmin Adina Kay Brownfield aka Karma Tucker (27/now 28) – Felony Disposition hearing on 1/8/25.
*Ivon Neil Adams III (36/now 38) – Arraignment hearing on 11/15/24.

Caddo County Woman Expected To Plead Guilty To Murdering 4-Year-Old

One of two codefendants charged with murdering a 4-year-old Caddo County girl will head to court Wednesday.

In a blind agreement, Alysia Adams is expected to plead guilty to first-degree murder.

In pleading guilty to first-degree murder charges Alysia will avoid the death penalty.

A judge will later decide whether to sentence her to life with or without parole.

KOCO 5's Alyse Jones reports that Adams tore up the plea deal papers, but her attorney had no comment on why the deal was rejected. If she had accepted the deal, the death penalty would have been off the table.

By turning down the plea deal, the state will seek the death penalty. Alysia Adams' next court date is scheduled for March, and the trial will likely start in April.

Held on $1M bond. *Charged (1/20/23) with 1st degree murder/child abuse & child neglect. These charges were amended (12/12/23) to 2nd degree murder & child neglect. Held without bond. Hi @Niner ! Still no change in the court dockets. I don’t get it.

However, an article in Crime online said Ivon’s trial is scheduled for April 2025.

Another msm article said his arraignment is scheduled for January 2025. Both reports were dated November 13. So maybe the court site just hasn’t been updated?

Jasmin Brownfield, who now goes by Karma Tucker, was the mother of Athena Brownfield. Jasmin is supposed to appear in court again on March 12th.

CYRIL, Okla. (KSWO) - The mother of the four-year-old who was killed in Cyril appeared in court today.

Jasmin Brownfield, who now goes by Karma Tucker, was the mother of Athena Brownfield. Jasmin is supposed to appear in court again on March 12th.

I do not know about that March 9th date for Ivon - it is a Sunday.... ??
