Hearing rescheduled for two men charged with murdering, desecrating corpse of Okay teen

The joint preliminary hearing for two men charged with first-degree murder and desecration of a human corpse set for July 26 has been rescheduled to a later date due to a conflict of interest, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

A new date hasn't been set yet.

Wagoner County Man To Stand Trial In Death Of Teen

Cody Thompson, 25, faces a first-degree murder charge in the death of 15-year-old Brennon Davis.

Thompson worked with Josh Herrington to shoot and kill Davis at a campground in January of 2017. Herrington has already been sentenced to life with the possibility of parole after he pleaded guilty to the crime earlier this year.

The trial for one of the men who Wagoner County Investigators say killed a 15-year-old boy and then set his body on fire has started.

Cody Thompson is charged with first degree murder and desecration of a corpse.

Investigators say they believe both Thompson and the other suspect --Josh Herrington-- drove 15-year-old Brennon Davis out to Fort Gibson Lake and took turns shooting him, with Thompson delivering the fatal shot.

Herrington is already serving a life sentence for the murder.

The trial of Cody Thompson, accused of murdering and setting fire to a 15-year-old boy, ended in a mistrial.

Attorneys attached to the case have been given a gag order.

Cody Thompson, 25, stood accused of acting in concert with Josh Herrington, 24, to kill Brennon Davis of Okay.

Herrington pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder charge in June 2018, and is serving life in prison with the possibility of parole.
