For anyone local,

How does this map (where psychic claims she is located) compare to the Paintball field?

http://missingchild.files.wordpress.com/2008/02/tuas-bafh.png
It doesn't. She is miles away and across the Arkansas River. If you use google map...put in the address listed above for his apts. from Union Intermediate school. The rest of the directions cannot be followed exactly from google, but they are listed above, too.

However, I am going to try and go map out the route I think he would have taken to where the body ended up. Believe it or not, there are some similarities of items mentioned that Baker said "Cori" saw. I will take the camera and show you what I mean. The Walmart, railroad tracks (maybe...they do run along Elwood but not sure you cross them more than once), and the smoke stack of the factories along the river. I am anxious to find out if his apt. complex has the stucco archways, too. This could be where the J shaped bike rack comes into play. Anyway, I want to know for my own satisfaction if nothing else. I want to see how close he came to being right.

Sheriff's deputies are guarding the entrance of Paintball Adventures in Creek County after a jawbone and piece of vertebrae were found there on Friday.

~snip~

The state Medical Examiner's office hopes to identify the remains on Monday. As that happens, search dogs will look for more.

While they haven't confirmed it yet, I am relieved, too. She needed to come home to her father. The truth is going to come out, I hope. I am beginning to think that Bullock told at least part of the truth that he took her to his apartment. He didn't say he killed her yet...but it will come. He has nowhere to go with his statements now. Maybe Courtney's role, if any, will be forthcoming from him, too. I think he actually might be protecting her because of their child.

And you are very welcome. Here to serve. :)

Search For Cori Baker Over

The skeletal remains found late last week in a wooded area near a paintball facility in Creek County have been identified as those of a Tulsa teenager, missing since November.

The Medical Examiner's office confirms that the remains found last week near Sapulpa are those of 13-year-old Cori Baker.

God Bless her sweet soul. May whoever is involved in anyway, whatsoever, may they get what they deserve!! Im glad she is home with her dad and she can have a proper burial.
What took these witnesses so long to come forward? Do yiou think it was gang intimidation?

No, I think LE screwed up. They admitted the one witness called them several months ago and they "lost" the calls so were not followed up on. I will have to find that article.

The other witness could have been not really sure if it had anything to do with the case and maybe finally decided that no matter how insignificant it seemed to them...it might be very important to LE.

I don't know there is any gang involvement with Bullock, but I haven't heard it if there is.

Here is the article:

Police say the witness first tried to call them with this tip several months ago, but there was some sort of mix-up and they did not get that information.

Forensic Dentist speaks about case:

The doctor attempts to identify the remains by taking an x-ray of the teeth and comparing them to the victim's dental records. “There's a lot of information here, just the shape of the roots, the shape of the root canals."

"There's like 2.5 billion variations in one mouth." Variations that helped him identify the victim found this weekend, 13-year-old Cori Baker.

Dr. Montgomery has been working with the Tulsa County Medical Examiner for more than 20 years. He says he tried to make this ID as quickly as he could, but said it sometimes takes several days for the victim's dentist to turn over those records to the medical examiner.

Les Miller, the owner of the paintball park where an employee first found Cori's remains, says he's been helping in the search.

He says they have about 30 acres to cover and hopes evidence keeps turning up.

Miller says he thinks someone dumped Cori's body nearby, because he has motion detectors on the property. Then animals, or nature, moved the remains.

I had a feeling it was her Dentist that slowed down her ID over the weekend. It rather makes me angry he would make that family wait instead of handing over her records earlier! His Easter was more important? At least, now we know it is Cori. RIP Cori.

R.I.P. young Cori. I am so grateful you have been found and can now be laid to rest properly. May justice be swift for you and those who loved you.

They are out there searching shoulder to shoulder today. It really got to me yesterday when I saw the deputy speak of finding her pigtails. :( That had to be a horrible moment for the officers. They are determined to find everything they can tho. I applaud their efforts in recovering Cori in such a densely covered area. (They did mention finding clothes etc., but did not elaborate.)

I keep coming back in my mind to the earlier finding of a purse and objects they believed to be Cori's. It was closer to the school, but in the wrong direction from where he was seen with her later. I guess I will try to find the address of where the articles were found and map it out. This piece doesn't fit tho which makes me wonder if it wasn't done afterwards. For him to have ditched her purse long before he killed her makes no sense in my mind. Any ideas?

I don't understand....how do you (general you) know he ditched the purse long before he killed her? sorry, as you know I'm not up on all this. Was the purse found before she was missing?

  • #96
No, they found it at a later date tho. Several days after she went missing IIRC. I will have to go back and see the exact date. However, I would think a purse and the things mentioned would not have laid beside a busy street for very long without being noticed.

The thing that strikes me is the location. It doesn't make sense to me to ditch her purse first, drive her through town in a busy area, then take her miles away across the river to kill her. She evidently was still alive and fighting with him at 4:23 pm after he picked her up at 2:10 pm. several miles from where the purse was eventually found. See what I mean?

11/18/2007

Meanwhile, new details in the search for Cori Baker surfaced Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Police received a tip that someone may have picked up a compact disc player, a black purse and a yellow pullover shirt near 145th East Avenue, between 31st and 51st streets on Nov. 10, Sgt. Mike Huff said.

Police believe the CD player and the purse belonged to Baker, who disappeared Nov. 9 and is believed to have been killed. “To us that’s big news,” Huff said. “That’s a significant break in the case.”

Authorities also believe that Marquis Bullock, 18, was wearing a yellow shirt during Baker’s disappearance.

No, it doesn't seem a purse laying beside a busy road would go unnoticed for long....but I can see a perp disposing of a purse/belongings in a totally separate area from the body even prior to the actual murder or disposal.

It would have had to be in the first hour he ditched her stuff is what I am getting at. I need to read up on the findings more, but I posted what was found. I guess someone did pick the stuff up tho. Still...I find it odd.

This would mean he knew he was going to kill her when he first picked her up at school. I didn't get that initially. I really thought it was a rape gone badly.

SS, have thinking along the same lines, I thought it was a rape gone bad also, but starting to look like this was premeditated. Which makes me wonder even more how much did Courtney really know?
