Found Deceased OK - Damion Martin, 21, Eufaula, 15 Sept 2017 *Arrest*

Damion Martin was seen Sept. 15 driving a white Ford Fusion or Focus owned by another person. Wanita Martin said her brother hasn't been seen since.

"We have fliers everywhere — Tulsa, Muskogee, Checotah, everywhere we have friends and family," Martin said. "We are just hoping somebody will try to help us."

She described her brother as a slender light-skinned black man with short, curly hair and tattoos on his arms. He stands about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds.

Martin said a police report has been filed, and family members and friends are hoping for good news. Law enforcers have talked with the woman who reportedly saw him before his disappearance, she said, but additional information is sparse.

"The girl said he was wearing an orange hoodie and blue skinny jeans that day," Martin said. "He has a phone, but it's not even on."

Eufaula police say they are searching for Damion Rashund Martin.
Martin was reportedly last seen on September 16 at the Fiesta Mart in Eufaula after he reportedly went to the casino the day before and won $8,000.
He is 5'9", 140 pounds, with dark brown eyes.
Police say he could be in the McAlester, Checotah, Eufaula or Oklahoma City.
Family members fear someone may have killed him over his casino winnings.

Law enforcement personnel investigating a body found in McIntosh County on Wednesday say they do not have an identification, and it will be up to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner to identify the body.

McIntosh County Investigator Kevin Branscrum said the Eufaula Police Department, McIntosh County Sheriff's Department, Creek Nation Lighthorse Police and District 25 Violent Crime Task Force were at the scene early Wednesday evening, but did not specify the exact location.

Damion Martin, 21, was reported missing almost two weeks ago.

Several people who said they are friends of Martin's family took to social media on Wednesday claiming the body is that of Martin.

One person posted, "with a heavy heart, I'm sad to say Damion Martin has been found and is now with the Lord. Justice will be served. Thank you to everyone who has prayed ...please pray for his family."

Officers said since the woods are so thick it's going to take hours to finish their investigation. They said it's going to be at least a week until we know whose body was been found.

There is a group of people hoping that it is their loved one, Damion Martin.

Eufaula Police Chief Don Murray said, "Many people, I understand, want to believe that it is Mr. Martin that we have located but there is no way we can say that. The condition in the state of the remains is such that the state medical examiner is going to have to determine the identity."

"Ultimately the only thing I want is to find out where my son is at so I can put him at rest," said Martin's mother, Wanetta Martin.

Eufaula Police Chief Don Murray confirmed to News On 6 the body found early Wednesday morning is that of missing man Damion Martin.

The 21-year-old was reported missing to the Eufaula Police Department on September 21.


Martin's body was found in an overgrown field on his neighbor's property. Cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office which made the ID.

The McIntosh County Sheriff's Office says an arrest has been made in connection with the death of a Eufaula man.

The sheriff's office says William Brown faces a first-degree murder charge in connection with Martin's death.

It's still not clear how Martin died.
