The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a missing man in the area of the Henryetta New Lake.

Residents reported hearing yelling after dark, deputies said, but they didn't get an answer when they attempted to locate them.

Duane Qualls was reported missing in the same area on Oct. 24, deputies said.

Deputies located his vehicle near the south end of the lake.

Qualls is around 49 years old and is reported to be 5'8" and weighing about 170 pounds.

What kind of yelling? Was it someone yelling for help? When they say his truck was found at the south end of the lake was it actually at the lake I wonder? Maybe someone was in the lake and in trouble!

Crews Continue Search For Missing Henryetta Man-

Crews searched for miles Thursday around Jim Hall Lake looking for Duane Qualls, who was last seen Tuesday.

They plan to come back to the area once the wind calms down in a few days, to make sure Qualls isn't in the lake.

The Okmulgee County Sheriff's Office is concerned for his health. They said he has paranoid schizophrenia and diabetes.

A handful of people who live nearby told investigators they heard someone yelling after dark on Tuesday.

"When they would try and respond with him didn't respond back to them," Craighton said.

Investigators said this is not the first time Qualls has disappeared for a couple days.

So sad. How horrible for his family...

Question. Maybe I'm missing something, but his body wasn't found in the lake. It was on the land.

Residents heard yelling after dark. Yet, LE is not thinking foul play?

Yelling. Found dead. No signs of foul play?

There's only one scenario I can see that being true. Wonder if he had a psychotic break, and experienced terrifying hallucinations?

He must have suffered miserably in some way.

Wishing peace to all who loved him...

RIP Duane 🥀

The sheriff’s office said there are no signs of foul play but said the incident is still being investigated.

Investigators said they were concerned about Qualls’ health, saying he had paranoid schizophrenia and diabetes.

Thank you! Yes, I missed it. Paranoid schizophrenia. Poor guy.

Thanks again for pointing that out...
I miss so much...but this was something I had recently read and had in front of me. :)
