Violet Mitchell of Midwest City, Oklahoma died in August. Her parents, Anthony Yonko and Lisa Mitchell, brought their 29-pound daughter to the hospital for treatment for what they claimed was complications from the flu.

What is wrong with these parents? People who treat others like this especially children should be locked up for life. They do not deserve to be in society. This goes way beyond drug use, poverty or having to deal with a difficult child or a child that isn't your own and not stepping in to intervene. There is no valid excuse for why this child was abused in such a manner.

what did I just read?? Just why? I ask it every time, and I know the only answer is people can be horrible, awful, cruel, and sadistic. :( Poor baby, how she must have suffered. The only silver lining and it is slim indeed, is that this child's torment is over and her suffering no more.

All four were charged with second degree murder, according to court records. The girl’s parents and Mitchell’s sister are being held on a $5 million bond while Yonko’s brother is being held on a $1 million bond, according to jail records.

I am so angry at these charged adults. I don't even know what to say. That poor baby. Can you imagine? and how old is this Tera Day who is her cousin who claims to have fed her chicken nuggets just two days before Violet died and then returned her to that hell?

Why the F didn't she report this abuse or grab that child and get her out of that house?? Just WTF? Does she want sympathy or a medal? NOT A GOOD LOOK IMO and maybe she needs charged too.

In August, she told KFOR she had fed violet chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, and carrots, just two days before she was brought to hospital.

"She looked malnourished," she said. "She didn't tell me anything about her parents just that they loved her.

"That's all she said and she cried and I took her back home."

Tragic cause of death revealed after girl, 7, was tied to crib & had mouth glued

is this the same cousin who claimed to have witnessed beatings, tried to unglue little Violet's mouth and untie her when her parents weren't around?

Violet's cousin alleged they witnessed Mitchell beating the girl with a broom and binding her legs to her crib with zip ties, the police report read, according to the station. The cousin said they also tried to free Violet's lips when they were glued shut by her mother.

What they deserve is the death penalty, IMO.
