OK - Ivy Webster, 14 and Brittney Brewer, 16, among 7 murdered by Jesse McFadden, Henryetta, 1 May 2023

This is pretty much all over Oklahoma news now. There's a vigil at the highschool going on and I heard that Kindergarten graduation was cancelled. Lots of sad people and especially kids in Henryetta tonight. Lots of questions that can't be answered. Hopefully lots of prayers.

What heartbreaking news. I was already concerned for the 2 teens that were missing with this creep less yet all the others. My prayers are with the families, devastating to say the least.

One of those cases where you know it’s going to be bad from page 1, but you had no idea how bad. And we still don’t know.

Deputies said Webster went with a friend, Tiffany, and her friend's parents, Holly and Jesse McFadden, to the McAlester area on Saturday to work on a ranch and was supposed to return home on Sunday around 5 p.m. but never returned.

Per the 1 AM last seen time: why in the world were these girls awake at 1 AM or heading to a ranch in McAlester to work? And why on earth did one have on a bathing suit. It's warm evenings here lately but nights are still getting down into the 40's and public pools aren't open yet etc. Just standing out to me.

Yes, this didn't make any sense to me either. Here is the quote from the prior linked source.

OHP says Webster and Brewer were last seen in Henryetta Monday morning around 1:15 a.m. Webster was wearing a black Vans hoodie, blue jeans with large holes at the knees and black shoes. Brewer was last seen wearing a black bathing suit, blue shorts with flowers on them and white tennis shoes.

This is just devastating. All these lives lost. My condolences to the families. Just absolutely horrible.

Struggling to understand how a registered sex offender w/ such a history & an upcoming court date was even allowed to be free & near minors/ teenagers. Also what about parole?

he should have been remanded prior to court date

"McFadden was a registered sex offender who was supposed to stand trial Monday, May 1, in Muskogee County.
He was charged in 2017 with using a contraband cell phone in prison to send sexual messages to a teenage girl.
He was in prison at that time after being convicted of rape in 2003 in Pittsburg County."

I definitely did not expect this when I first got the news of missing Ivy. How absolutely devastating and horrifying. Sadly, I’m just not surprised anymore. I’m from Oklahoma and I really feel like Oklahoma has had a lot of this in recent years.
Didn't we just have a big Okmulgee case last year? A dismemberment of 4 guys? I know nothing about Okmulgee except murders with multiple victims. What's with that?

The article says McFadden is among the seven bodies found.

Where in Henryetta, and who else was seen at the same time?

Yes. That was actually in Okmulgee city while this is in Henryetta about 20 mins South of Okmulgee. Still Okmulgee County. Same court jurisdictions and probably many of the same police forces corroborating. And yes, brutal crimes this year alone and Okmulgee is not a big town really. The most exciting thing here being Walmart.

Rape and child porn should be life in prison, no parole. Period.

When I saw this story on Facebook just now, I wondered if that sicko in Texas who shot his neighbors might have had something to do with this. Doesn't look like it.

I think this falls under family annihilation since he killed his wife and stepchildren along with the two young friends.

Makes sense, as family annihilation (and the domestic/family violence that precedes it) and sex offenses come from the same root of dehumanizing those more vulnerable than you to the point that rather than autonomous humans they are just "things" for you to do with as you will. And on a very intimate level.

This mindset is just absolutely enraging. You do not hurt children; you do not hurt your partner.
