I think this falls under family annihilation since he killed his wife and stepchildren along with the two young friends.

Makes sense, as family annihilation (and the domestic/family violence that precedes it) and sex offenses come from the same root of dehumanizing those more vulnerable than you to the point that rather than autonomous humans they are just "things" for you to do with as you will. And on a very intimate level.

This mindset is just absolutely enraging. You do not hurt children; you do not hurt your partner.

The man the two girls were with (presumed missing) killed his wife, his stepdaughter (the 16 year old ?), her friend, and three other children, and then took his own life ?

But Sheriff Eddy Rice said that the authorities had called off the search for Ivy and Brittany after the bodies were found at the property, near Henryetta, the county seat, and just south of Tulsa. “We believe to have found everything that we were seeking this morning,” Sheriff Rice said.

HENRYETTA — Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice said officials believe two missing teenage girls were among seven bodies found at a Henryetta residence Monday, May 1.

Court records show McFadden was released from prison in 2020 after serving sentences in Pittsburg County District Court for first-degree rape and grand larceny.

According to records the News-Capital obtained, McFadden was charged in 2003 with first-degree rape after he tied up a girl a raped her.

McFadden pleaded not guilty to the crime and accepted an Alford Plea of 20 years in the custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He requested a sentence modification in 2004, saying he felt “very bad” for what he did and that he thought about it every day. A Pittsburg County judge denied the request.

Rape in Oklahoma is an 85% percent crime, meaning McFadden was only required to serve at least 17 years to become eligible for parole.

My .02 is that these types need to be locked up for life.
If he also took the girl to a location against her will -- that is considered kidnapping.
And if so, he should have had that added to his charges , which in many states can carry a longer sentence.

I have an extremely low level of belief that men who commit these crimes can ever be rehabilitated.
There is something very wrong with them.
It's like trusting a rattlesnake to not bite you even when you know what the animal is capable of.
Except the snake is an innocent creature !

My guess is that it was about today's trial date. He wasn't willing to go back to prison, had been living a web of lies and made up a few more to have access to two teenage girls in his final weekend.

I totally agree it was about the trial date. He knew he was going to be exposed. But how could someone do this?!
