OK - Ivy Webster, 14 and Brittney Brewer, 16, among 7 murdered by Jesse McFadden, Henryetta, 1 May 2023

Well that seems... convenient? A lot of us have been wondering why it appears that the investigation stalled. Does anyone know if it picked back up and things were being looked at? Maybe a new detective getting the case? Or was the books closed for good on this case and it was shelved?

Kinda strange. I wonder if it's arson from someone that didn't want to look at that house again because it brought up bad memories for them?

Per the article: this is being investigated as an arson.
What would need to be investigated after the murderer was found dead by suicide? What would the authorities investigate?

A lot… like a huge csam ring for starters
Not only that but I have always wondered if there was a coverup. Some things were just not right about this case. It's been too long, so this has to be JMO as my memory is a little foggy (hopefully one of you remember this and can comment) but there was something about some LE with ties to JM, or something like that. That that jog anyone's memory? I could use a little help here. lol

And then there's a statement from the family:

“The family of Ivy Webster were shocked to discover that computers and cell phones had not been seized by law enforcement when they viewed the inside of this house of horrors. No words can express this family’s fear that the sexual assault of their baby girl has been placed on the dark web. We demand that law enforcement seize all electronic devices and hunt down all sexual predators who have witnessed the suffering of Ivy Webster.”

Also, the article linked above makes it sound like there could be other victims as someone was digging in the pond out back months before, and said they were expanding it, yet there was no apparent reason to do that.

Lastly, of of the victims family members found a ledger at the CS with a list of names and ages, with the deceased victims being the last names on the list. Who were the names before? Are they missing? If not, have they been talked to about potential abuse at the hands of JM?

Yes, there were/are so, so many hinky things about this case. For folks who are just now reading about it, I would recommend going back in the threads & reading earlier articles about the perp, his family, LE, etc. I do think there were other victims, I think there may have been drugs involved somehow, possibly illegal weapons, & there may have been csam or other things filmed/uploaded/sold on the dark web. And now everything is burned down, I guess. Convenient. What a travesty that this case seems to have been barely investigated. I think there is much, much more lurking under the surface & it may involve others. All MOO.

My heart goes out to the victims & their loved ones. I don't think justice has been served & I wonder if it ever will be.

Your post pretty much said it in 2 words. BARELY INVESTIGATED. Why is it that family were allowed in the house and found things that LE should have found and taken as evidence, yet were left behind? It wasn't even a half *ss job IMO. The innocents came nowhere near to getting justice and it's a darn shame.

But, even though the house was burned down I doubt there was any movement on this case. smh

the whole vibe from day one in this case was, welp the perp is dead so does it really matter if we investigate or secure the scene? we won't be prosecuting anyone for these murders anyway.

shoulda coulda woulda

If the girls were my loved ones I would feel pretty salty about it too. I'd want to know how this killer came to be hiding in plain sight in my community.

Parents always engage in shoulda coulda when a child dies. It's human nature. But these ones can't get past that point in grieving because they woulda moved differently had they only known who this man was. Their girls would never have been there in the first place, had they only known.

And don't forget they (eventually) found 34 phones in the house, at least one of which belonged to one of the child victims, and some of which they found HIDDEN UNDER THE FLOORBOARDS.

Why would he or anyone feel the need to hide these phones? He wouldn't have put them under the floor if they were just his old unused phones. LE has them. What did they find on them? Who did they belong to?

Per your comment, "It wasn't even a half *ss job IMO."...

Around the time of this case, there were also the cases of Cody Garde & his sister, plus the four men murdered in Okmulgee. Then this case. I posted at the time something along the lines of, "Oklahoma, are you okay over there?" Because it seemed like a few big, shocking crimes within a short stretch of time. And I feel like LE was kind of lackadaisical on the investigative side. MOO.

And, actually, I'm going back & looking & I see that there were even more cases...

There is new news in the case. This is behind a paywall and I can't find a version that isn't, but a few key things:

1. The sleepover guests were still alive on April 29, 2023.
2. The OSBI also determined that Tiffany (the youngest stepdaughter) was still alive on Sunday afternoon. She alone accompanied McFadden to visit his defense attorney to discuss a plea deal. “I think she knew something horrible had happened,” the OSBI agent said.
3. McFadden planned ahead for days, buying cable and locks and made a purchase at an adult toy store.
4. "McFadden also searched the internet on Saturday for information on getting drunk anally. He may have used what he found on Brittany; alcohol was discovered in the 15-year-old’s blood. “That’s stuck with me,” her father, Nathan Brewer, told The Oklahoman. “So not only did she just get raped and murdered; … she got tortured.”"
5. They believe his wife knew he was abusing her youngest daughter all along, and that she and the kids had been abused so long they just went along with what he told them to do.

I found an MSM article that's not behind a paywall.

I'm not sure if this is new, or I just don't remember this from the article:

McFadden, posing as Ivy, sent a message to Ivy's mother Sunday morning that they were going to McAlester.

and....

"Several of them were shackled or handcuffed or secured," he said. "They were restrained.

"And I think that ... Ivy and Brittany were taken out to where they were found and ... they were killed. ... And then ... the last group all went out. And I think they were in such fear of him, because they had been victimized for so long by him, that maybe they thought if they cooperated they wouldn't die. There's no way that he took them all out together."

So damn sad. :(

More snippets from the article:
  • McFadden sexually abused Tiffany at the house in the months before the shooting and was planning to do the same to Rylee. Sex videos of McFadden and Tiffany were found on his computer. "I believe Holly was 100% aware of what was happening," Lanham said.
  • Holly was listed in the OSBI report as a suspect. "We think .... her enabling allowed this kind of stuff to happen," Lanham said.
  • Authorities in Missouri and another state were notified about McFadden's communications with other adults because of suspicions they could be pedophiles.
  • McFadden used the dark web but was not on it on the weekend of the killings. Agents found no evidence he took photos of Ivy or Brittany.
  • Ivy's purse and duffel bag remained missing until this year. The property owner's son found the items in February inside a cattle feeder along with a stuffed elephant and a photo montage from Main Event. He notified authorities.
(Gemmie here - Wiki has the date of the murders as 5/1/23, which is a Monday, so sounds like he was looking for sex in the wee hours of the day before.)

The OSBI concluded McFadden was outside the Walmart in Henryetta early Sunday. His car can be seen on security camera recordings, and Brittany's cellphone connected with the store's Wi-Fi at 2:46 a.m. He want home two hours later.

"McFadden was believed to be driving around, attempting to meet a female who he was communicating with through the ... sugar daddy website," the OSBI agent said.

And this is what I, and others, had thought all along...

They [the family] are still upset, too, that the sheriff' deputies ended the investigation so quickly without gathering evidence from the house. It was a search of the house led by Ivy's family, not deputies, that found Ivy's cellphone.

"They found the bodies. That's all they did. That's all they wanted to do. They told us that," Justin Webster said.

They praised the work of the OSBI to give them answers.

Friday, April 28th, 2023 – A text message is sent from Holly McFadden's phone to Tiffany and Rylee saying Jesse would begin to teach them about sexual education and encouraged Tiffany to assist Rylee because she was ‘further along in this.’ Lanham said this, coupled with explicit videos of Jesse and Tiffany found on Jesse’s phone, led investigators to believe Tiffany was being groomed by Jesse.

She was only 13. It's disturbing that they felt it necessary to check her hands for gunpowder residue.
