GUILTY OK - Jaymie Adams, 25, Blanchard, 9 Dec 2011

Oh no, not another in-law helping murder the spouse of their child...:(

Thank you for this link! Jaymie had a lovely smile and it was wonderful to read of her love of crochet and sewing rather than a supposedly sordid tale of Craigslist.

I've had lots of problems with Justin's stories since the beginning - to be fair I always suspect the spouse/SO whenever a young, pregnant woman "disappears" so I am not very impartial. The comments he made about Craigslist only made me more suspicious. It is just too common for perpetrators to disparage or place blame somehow on their victims.

If it turns out to be true (not certain since the only people saying it aren't exactly impartial themselves) I will still feel the same. Regardless of how Jaymie earned money to pay for the roof over her son's heads or food for their tummies she was a mother, daughter, sister and friend. She mattered and the loss of her will affect her little boys, and so many others, for the rest of their lives. Someone needs to pay for that.

Thanks for the link, SoonerQueen! :)

I am glad that article had some more things about Jaymie other than the whole 'Craigslist/prostitute" thing. However, I am really tired of the headlines of all these articles. "Murdered alleged prostitute". Every single stinking thing I read has the word prostitute in the headline. Arrrgh! Someday her children may be reading this stuff. What a horrible way to characterize their mother. I hope there are people in these boys lives who can share what their mom was really like, the good stuff. :)

Sorry, little rant, that just really gets to me. Whatever she was doing out that night, she deserves a heck of a lot more than being the "prostitute mom". :(

ETA: Just to add, I know the older boys will remember stuff about their mom, guess I was thinking about the baby.

BBM: Probably bad reporting...

When her body was found on Saturday by a motorcyclist using a dirt bike track near Lake Stanley Draper, police believed it had only been there for one day.

Early this morning had on local channel 5, KOCO. Big news was, LE has determined that Jaymie was murdered.

Duh....

I thought she went out on a late night/early morning stroll with her friend she met at McDonalds, at that darkened bike track trail area, and she died of a heart attack, and her friend left and forgot to tell anyone.

Anyway, sad that what happened happened, but news media is pretty lame. Learn much more on this site than any media, with all of you who think and use reasoning ability and various resources.

Somehow, I had a dream that perhaps, by chance, I might see Jaymie at the local park where I sometimes go running, and then reconciliation could begin. But just goes to show, we live in a fallen world.

So best to all of you.

It could be weeks before details from Jaymie Adams' autopsy are released, a spokeswoman with the state medical examiner's office said Monday.

Spokeswoman Amy Elliott said the autopsy was under way Monday, but it will be “a while” before a cause and manner of death are revealed.

Toxicology reports can take three to six months to get back “in a case like this,” she said.

~snip~

The report doesn't say on which side of the road the body was found, but satellite images of the area described by police show a dirt bike trail is on the east side of S Douglas Boulevard.

The wooded area west of Douglas abuts Tinker Air Force Base and no riding trails are present in the area.

According to police, Jaymie Adams' body was found between three and four miles south of where her vehicle was discovered on Dec. 10.

Here is another Daily Oklahoman online article...interesting that the hubby and MIL are not suspects at this time, yet their attorney claim they are, and seems like other sources have said so.....

Toxicology reports can take three to six months to get back “in a case like this,” she said.

Elliott said 15 bodies were brought into the medical examiner's office over the weekend. She declined to comment on the condition of Jaymie Adams' body or how long investigators think she had been dead.

Oklahoma City police said the body was found in a wooded area near the 7200 block of S Douglas Boulevard. They will say only that it had been there for more than one day.

A police report shows the body was found just after noon Saturday near Lake Stanley Draper by “several dirt bike riders.” The names of those who found the body weren't released.

BBM: Oh, and can we find info (or can you supply info) on Irven Box? Good atty in the area? I know I'd be hiring an atty . . . would have before LE questioned me.

I don't know how good he is, but he seems to get the high profile cases in the area. I think he handled the Brenda Andrew/James Pavatt case and the Jerome Ersland case.

Police say a group of motorcyclists discovered the body of a woman in Oklahoma City Saturday afternoon...at a dirt bike track near Southeast 59th Street and Douglas Boulevard.

This body is very close to where Jaymie's van was found, about 2 miles. Van was at SE 29 and Douglas. This body has not been identified yet. This area is a very rural area around Draper Lake which historically has been a dump ground for bodies and rapes.

Locally, the area is called "Lake Stanley Raper"

The State Medical Examiner has confirmed that Blanchard mother Jaymie Adams was pregnant at the time of her death. Police say they are currently working the case as a homicide.
If a suspect is arrested and tried for Adams’ murder they could also face a murder charge for Adams’ unborn child, according to police.

Justin Adams told police he didn't know the name of the person his wife was supposed to meet and, according to a police report, he became agitated when police asked further questions about whom she was meeting.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt for the moment, that was when he was still trying to keep the craigslist business a secret from police etc. He didn't admit that stuff until a day or so later. Trying to keep that a secret from the police, while freaked out that his wife was missing could explain the agitation.

That said, I am not saying that I am confident he was not involved. Not enough info yet to say one way or the other, IMO. From what has been released, the cell phone tower stuff seems like the most incriminating piece of information so far.

I wonder if they have his mother's cell phone/ping record....since HER car was impounded also...

She was the mother of four children, ranging in age from an infant to a 7-year-old.

One of those children, who is 5 months old, was fathered by her husband, Justin Adams.

Box said the infant lives at the family home in Blanchard.

Two older children, ages 6 and 7, are not in the custody of Justin Adams,
Box said.

A 5-year-old boy remains in Justin Adams' custody, although Box said the boy isn't his client's biological child.

I agree. His behavior was suspicious but he was hiding criminal activity. He did report her missing pretty quickly compared to some of these interesting spouses. I am on the fence about the husband. Jaymie was in a dangerous occupation. If it was arranged on CL, looks like the experts could find an electronic trail to her date.

On the fence here, too. Allegedly involved in a dangerous occupation - though that type of employment might make the perfect cover for someone else to do the deed, someone who might feel that LE would jump at the theory she was killed by a stranger while engaging in a high-risk profession.
