GUILTY OK - Jaymie Adams, 25, Blanchard, 9 Dec 2011

New article this morning.

At this point, I'm starting to have doubts about the case against Justin Adams.

Or at the very least, I fully believe that Tina Clarke believes she is telling the truth.

According to the article above, Tina Clarke told her son to lie.

What all does Tina Clarke know?

Was Ryan Brunn's arrest warrant published? I can't remember. Anyway, I do recall many people questioning whether Ryan was the person responsible for the murder of Jorelys because there seemed to be a real lack of evidence.

Turns out there wasn't. They had his shoe print, DNA/fingerprint on the glove, etc. They had Brunn on suicide watch in isolation too.

The only person saying he was naked in the cell is his momma. So, I take that with a grain of salt.

Looking at her home in one of the video broadcasts, she lives in poverty. Between charging this woman 400 dollars to get her impounded car back, and making Justin sit naked in a cold jail cell with no blanket and no mattress, it seems to me the OKCPD is trying to torment this family. I'm really curious about the evidence they have - don't they have to charge him with a crime soon? I forget how long he can sit there in that jail without being formally charged with double homicide.

this is coming from his mother who is not sitting in the jail...

jmhoo but I do not think LE are doing this to torment a family or Justin Adams.

I think they are trying to bring justice for Jaymie Adams and her unborn child:twocents:

She says she told her son to lie that Jaymie was a prostitute because she believed the police wouldn't search for her in that case.

And really, that's usually correct. Even the remains of a prostitute aren't investigated beyond opening up a case file, often.

I questioned his arrest at first - based solely on how completely surprised and unbelieving his family and friends were. That made me hold out for more evidence - although he confessed pretty quickly and that does make it clear he was guilty.

bbm: that is a very common reaction for family members and friends, sadly (even when the person is guilty)

JA was on suicide watch the first 48 hours

Justin D. Adams, 25, related that he was stripped of his clothes and had to sleep in his cell naked on a steel bunk without a mattress, attorney Irven Box said.
Adams admitted to jailers to having thoughts of suicide after his wife went missing in December, the attorney said.
A sheriff's spokesman said Adams actually was given a smock to wear and was on suicide watch for his first 48 hours in jail.
Adams now is wearing regular jail clothes and is on mental health observation status, the spokesman, Mark Myers, said. That means the inmate is checked every 15 minutes, Myers said.

There has to be more evidence! Something physical!

Tina Clarke is right about other family members need to be looked into!

Whetsel says the claims are false.
"I can say that he is not naked,” said Whetsel. “The first two days he was given a smock to wear, which is standard procedure."
At Adams' court appearance, he was wearing the county jail attire.
Since his arrest Friday, Whetsel said, Adams has been under suicide watch and is now undergoing a mental evaluation.
“All I can say is I know how we operate this facility, and if Clarke doesn’t like the way we operate the facility, then that’s really too bad,” said Whetsel.
Adams is expected to face another judge as soon as charges are filed.
Whetsel said that due to publicity in the case, it’s possible that Adams won’t share a cell with other inmates.

I don't mean like when the mom says a son isn't guilty - what really struck me is how his brothers didn't believe it. They really didn't believe it - they thought the roommate, or someone else was guilty.

I don't usually see that level of brothers very publicly sticking their necks out and putting their reputation on the line, so hotly defending a brother in a heinous case like that.

That's unusual. And it caused me to pause and wait for more of the story.

Unusual for relatives to defend their relative? Really? <modsnip>

Unusual for relatives to defend their relative? Really? In what Universe?

Yes, in my experience, it's unusual for brothers to come out and say they flat don't believe their brother is guilty.

I see mothers doing it, I don't see brothers. I see brothers saying stuff like he was terribly abused all his childhood, etc., we should have gotten him help before this so we bear some of the guilt. That kind of thing.

For two young men - the brothers - to come out publicly to an OUTRAGED citizenry and defend their brother so strongly, it's unusual.

I stand by that. <modsnip>

I respectfully have to disagree. As hard as it might be, if your child does something wrong...you must make sure they face it. You can't defend them when they are wrong.

Scott Peterson's brother, Joe, testified for the defense in his trial - praising his brother and stating unequivocally his brother could not have committed murder.

Christopher Coleman's brother also vehemently denied his brother's involvement in the murder of his wife and two sons. He, Brad, was accused of mouthing the words "You're dead" to a police officer testifying against his brother.

Ryan Brunn's brother, Connor, stated this prior to his brother confessing and pleading guilty to the murder of Jorelys Rivera:
“...my brother I honestly think he is innocent. There's just no way he would do something like this. He's just a kindhearted person... This is just some big mistake... I... think this was a big setup in his part.”

Mix Ocampo proudly shows off the uniform of his older brother, Itzcoatl, or "Izzy." Mix dismisses allegations that Itzcoatl, a 23-year-old former Marine, is a serial killer. "He's not a murderer. He's an innocent man. He's a hero to me, my role model," said Mix.

48 year old Paul Campbell is accused of murdering his wife, 65 year old Georgia, in Newton Mississippi.
"We know for sure that he was at work at the time of the murder," said Terry Campbell, Paul's brother. "My brother was charged with murder without the evidence, I understand, even being back from the crime lab. We're mighty concerned about that."

Despite Joe O'Reilly's conviction for the murder of his wife Rachel, brother Derek still protests his innocence.
"I have many reasons for believing Joe is innocent. And one of the main reasons is if you look at the case against him."

None of these brothers, in anything I could locate, ever mentioned abuse, poor upbringing, substance abuse, etc. They were not attempting to minimize their brother's crimes but rather wholeheartedly believe their brothers could not be involved of the crime for which they are accused/convicted. Most described their brothers as kind, loving, and incapable of violence.
