GUILTY OK - Jaymie Adams, 25, Blanchard, 9 Dec 2011

 • #781
I haven't gotten to be here as much and might have missed it but does anyone know who posted the bond for him?

I believe Justin's grandparents posted his bond.

"I've put everything I have on the line to take care of him because I know Justin did not kill Jaymie," Justin's grandfather William Decker said.

Adams will stay at his grandparents' house in southwest Oklahoma City for at least the next several months as he awaits his preliminary hearing on October 19th.

Decker says, for now, Adams cannot leave the house and he is required to wear an ankle monitoring bracelet.

Decker is surprised Adams was ever charged because of what he calls a lack of evidence.

Decker added that his grandson’s time in the county jail has been traumatic because he shared a cell with Carina Saunder’s murderer, suspect Luis Ruiz.

Justin's son was with his grandparents when Justin arrived home from jail.

Oklahoma judge agrees to remove ankle monitor of man charged in pregnant wife's death (Daily Oklahoman)
A judge signed an order Thursday to remove the ankle monitor on a man charged in the death of his wife and her unborn child, a possible indication authorities believe someone else committed the crime.

Oklahoma County Special Judge Fred D. Doak signed the order, agreed to by prosecution and defense attorneys, nearly three months after setting bail at $100,000 for Justin Adams.
---
Doak also delayed Friday's preliminary hearing for Adams, the second such postponement. It is now set for Jan. 9.
---
[Adams' attorney Irven] Box has said he had reason to believe law enforcement officials were looking at other persons of interest in the case.
---
The defense attorney suggested evidence exists that would exonerate Justin Adams except that “a lot of investigative work has not been done.”

One of you should go get the FULL affadavit on Cyrs DNA. Then compare the information they listed in the affadavit to the medical examiners report. You might be surprised. I really hope the media starts focusing on OKCPD and the things they are doing to "investigate" this case. I think the civilians of OKC should be made aware.

Have you read the full affidavit?

The multiple stab wounds, the very brutal attack, there is a crime scene somewhere!!

If they are suspecting Cyr, have they done a forensic inspection of his apartment (where he lived when she disappeared)?

Was there any forensic evidence against Justin (blood in particular)?

I believe Jaymie was outside the home working when she disappeared.

TMK, LE have not searched Joseph Cyr’s former home in Choctaw, only Justin and Jaymie’s home in Blanchard, and they did't find any forensic evidence against Justin anywhere.

The youtube video I posted on this page shows the house Cyr was living in when Jaymie was murdered. The bungalow, with an attached garage, is situated at the far end of the property. Cyr, a white male, 31 y.o. has no known partner or family of his own and I don't know where he was employed.

Joseph Cyr corresponded with Jaymie by email and LE had a search warrant for Cyr’s cell phone but I haven’t come across a search warrant for Cyr’s computer or house.

Initially I thought Jaymie’s body may have been kept "inside" before she was moved to the dirt bike trail but the autopsy report said there was significant evidence of animal activity and a noticeable fluid line on the body, like it had been sitting in a liquid of some type, so it was outside and exposed to the elements long before it was transferred to the dirt bike trail where she was sure to be found.

Cyr's interview with LE was on December 20th and I assume the meeting was held at police headquarters so I don't know whether LE went to his house. I don't know if Cyr's attorney was present at this interview either.

Jaymie's killer moved her body to a place where it would be found rather than dispose of it or conceal it.

Thank you, this is good to know.

I only found the one page search warrant that says it is 1/1 pages however
I knew it wasn't because it didn't connect the dots and talk about Cyr.

Can you kindly provide a link to the 3-page document or is it being withheld due to the pending murder investigation?

More from the autopsy report:

Jaymie was stabbed not only in the head but twice in the face, near her eyes; and there was blood and debris on the palm of the right and left hand.

""A 1.6 x 0.6 cm. red brown abrasion/scrape is noted on the back of the left hand and a 0.7x0.2 cm red abrasion is noted on the back of the left thumb.""

""A 0.5 cm stab wound below the left eye passing 1 cm deep into the face (#28). This
wound is located 3 ¾” below the top of the head and 1 ¾” to the left of the anterior
midline plane. 1 cm stab wound below the outer aspect of the left eye passing 3.5 cm deep into the head (#29). This wound is located 4” below the top of the head and 2 ½” to the left of the anterior midline plane.”"

There is no link. I have the paper copy. Anyone can get it from Tulsa County Courthouse.

Thanks but unfortunately I can’t go to the Tulsa County CourtHouse and pick it up.

How many search warrants did you obtain?

Because the full document isn’t available online, I don't think I can ask you what it says.

I honestly do not know the ins and outs of that. There was only 1 search warrant in Tulsa County. I hunted down the Osage county courthouse today after seeing that news story last night. They don't have any warrants at all which I found odd. I thought they said they searched his house in Osage county? Wouldn't that have HAD to be filed in Osage county?

With allegations of the DA acting unethically I have taken interest in finding out if law enforcement is doing their job right.

Clearly I have too much time on my hands. :)

Great! We're happy to have you aboard.

Several warrants were issued for the vehicles and electronic devices belonging to Justin, Jaymie and Tina Clarke.

Early on, a warrant was issued for Cyr’s truck and later on another one was issued for his DNA.

I don’t think LE had a warrant to search Justin's house; rather I think Justin agreed to let them in and look around.

Investigators met with Cyr on December 20th to discuss the phone calls and emails he exchanged with Jaymie Adams and afaik, a warrant was never issued to search his computer, cell phone records or house.

Can LE obtain Cyr’s phone records and confiscate his computer without a search warrant? This part of the investigation is murky.

We don’t know if LE confiscated Cyr’s computer so IDK if LE went to Cyr’s house to get it or if Cyr was allowed to drop it off at the station.

Cyr's property in Choctaw has not been searched by LE afaik.

The ADA initially assigned this case was fired in April.

ok. so blunt force trauma, but no description of what might have caused it.

which means it could have been anything that might not have left a mark on the assailant and/or left tell-tale marks as to exactly what was used to cause the injury.

The sharp force trauma, (29 stab wounds in total), were apparently all caused by the same knife but there was also evidence of blunt force trauma which caused the lower jaw to break into three separate pieces.

The ME didn’t say what caused the blunt force injury so I wonder if a man's clenched fist can shatter a person’s jaw.

This is what the Autopsy report said about Blunt Force Trauma:

Findings: page 1

4. Blunt force trauma to the head with resultant fracture of the lower jaw into 3 pieces.

External examination: page 2

Unequivocal evidence of sharp and blunt force injury, to be described is noted in the head from stabs through the bone of the skull and palpable fractures of the lower jaw from blunt force injury.

Evidence of Injury: page 3

I. Blunt Force Trauma:

The lower jaw is broken into three separate pieces. This is associated with red subarachnoid hemorrhage on the ventral aspect of the brainstem and cerebellum.

Cause of Death: Multiple Stab Wounds
OSC: (other significant cause): Blunt Force Trauma To The Head
Manner of Death: Homicide

No they cannot take anything without a warrant. Cyr could have voluntarily given his belongings to law enforcement but any attorney would advise againsf that. Most people think "well if I am innocent then I have nothing to hide". Always make the police do their job. I saw on the news they searched his house. I cannot find ANY search warrants for it. They also said on the news that they took his two trucks again. No search warrant for those either.

Something does not add up. The news showed that warrants had been filed. Law enforcement then has 10 days to return the affadavits explaining probable cause for searching or taking property. On the news they said Cyrs attorney is calling it an illegal search and seizure. Look what I found.

http://www.oscn.net/applications/os...=caseGeneral&casemasterID=2832671&db=Oklahoma

Notice on 9/21/12 a motion was filed to return property that was taken without probable cause.

I can also tell you they lied on the affadavit to collect his DNA. I really hope the media will start looking at the homicide department because they do not seem to be doing their job.

My best guess is they do not have anything to connect Cyr so they did not file the affadavits for the trucks and the house. There is a reason they throw Cyrs name out there periodically but I won't bore you with their tactics.

I do not have a theory on who did this. I am more concerned with how poorly this investigation is being handle. Law enforcement may find themselves held accountable if Cyrs attorney fights this.

New Developments in Murder Investigation

LE went and searched Cyr’s “address” in Choctaw but not inside his house two weeks after they learned
Cyr had placed his house for sale and moved to Skiatook, OK.

Cyr’s neighbor said Cyr came back to check on his house so he has another vehicle.

Oklahoma police Examine Truck Belonging to Man Who Contacted Jaymie Adams

January 26, 2012 -- In the latest search warrant filed in the Jaymie Adams murder investigation, police revealed they have located a man who called and texted the pregnant Blanchard mother on the day she went missing.

Investigators said Joseph Cyr contacted Adams in response to a Craigslist ad for sex shortly before she disappeared.

Court documents stated detectives learned on January 11 that Cyr had moved from Choctaw to Skiatook, Oklahoma. Detectives searched his Choctaw address and found a 1989 Chevrolet pickup parked in the driveway. Police believed the truck may hold evidence in Jaymie Adams death.

The truck was on a jack and the driver’s side front tire had been removed. The search warrant stated the vehicle appeared to be an off-road truck and it was muddy in appearance. The truck was impounded at the OCPD evidence barn.

Police seized soil samples, swabbing, and insurance verification from the vehicle.

Search warrants claim Jaymie Adams was set to meet up to three men the day she went missing.

LE impounded Jaymie’s van the day after it was found locked at the McDonald’s Restaurant (Dec 10/12) and they reseized it and a vehicle driven by Tina Clarke one day after Jaymie’s body was found at the dirt bike trail, (Jan 8/12).

As someone who knows Joe personally I wanted to clarify a few things.

Joe was not single and did not live alone. The person who lived with him has been cooperative with police to tell them about the night of her disappearance.

Joe did not "run away". The move was planned in November due to a career change. The interview for the job occured the week before Jaymie disappeared. Police were given his new address the day after he moved along with the reasoning of the move and emails showing that the job interview took place before Jaymie disappeared.

The truck that police "found abandoned" in Choctaw was not abandoned. Police were TOLD that the truck was there.

Also as far as him parking in the garage...not a chance. It was a one car garage that was cluttered with junk. There was no way his truck would have fit. Not to mention the person living with him would have noticed that.

Investigators said Joseph Cyr contacted Adams in response to a Craigslist ad for sex and search warrants claim Jaymie Adams was set to meet up to three men the day she went missing but the AR reported on page 11 that “No definite sperm is seen in the oral, vaginal or rectal swabs. Acute inflammation and some red blood cells were noted in the vaginal swab. “

Does anyone know what the inflammation and presence of red blood cells found on the vaginal swab means?

I watched a case on Body on Evidence where the female victim was stabbed 108 times.

More on Justin Adams Court appearance on Thursday, October 18th/12

Justin Adams attorney Irven Box said he requested that Adams’ ankle monitor be removed one day before his preliminary hearing. The preliminary hearing has now been continued to January 9th/13.

A Judge decides at a Preliminary hearing whether sufficient evidence exists to send a defendant to trial. Box said the ankle monitor was removed around noon on Thursday.

Three months earlier, (on July 25th/12), Justin Adams bonded out of jail the day after a judge reset his bond to $100,000.

Judge Fred Doak signed an order to have Justin Adams’ ankle monitor removed, a possible indication authorities believe someone else committed the crime.

Both the State and the Defense agreed to postpone the hearing again and have the monitor removed.

Defense Attorney Irven Box has claimed from the time Adams was arrested in February that his client was wrongfully accused in the killing of his wife Jaymie Adams, 25. “I believe Police have arrested the wrong man for the murder of Jaymie Adams” said Box.

District Attorney David Prater did not return phone calls seeking comment.

Oklahoma County Public Defender Robert Ravitz called the latest development in the case “unusual”.

Dozens of search warrants have been issued in this case but OCPD said they are still investigating. That’s at least one reason given for allowing Adams to post bond.
