GUILTY OK - Jaymie Adams, 25, Blanchard, 9 Dec 2011

  • #861
So when they asked him for DNA, did he provide it and if not, why not? If the semen found on Jaymie's body is Cyr's, when was he with her? Has he told you he was having sex with her, or has he denied it?

They asked his attorney for a DNA sample. He told them to get a search warrant because of previous erroneous information. You think that if you have nothing to hide and are innocent you might as well give them whatever. I have learned that is simply not true. I was an open book with them and they used it against him (ie saying they found an abandoned house and truck when i told them earlier in the day we had moved) It wasn't him denying to give his DNA...it was his attorney asking them to do their job .

That's the key...IF...and I mean IF they found his sperm I would have no clue as to when. That's something he would have to answer.

Thank you for your candor lewalters, this must be a nightmare for you. I have to read back but from memory it seems OKCPD has made quite a few botches in this case.

I do recall an article that no semen was found.

I need to go back and refresh my memory. How far from the area and crime scene did you and he live at the time?

Is it your position he didn't answer the CL add?

The autopsy report said no semen was found.

We lived in Choctaw. Its about 25 miles or so from the lake.

Also the part about him riding in the area of the crime scene is false. The draper stables are on the opposite side of the lake maybe 7 miles away. As far as I know he was not familiar with the area where her body was found. I know for a fact he didn't ride horses there.

It is my understanding that he DID respond to her CL ad.

IIRC, the autopsy report itself says no semen seen during the autopsy. I think some media interpreted that to mean no semen (or other body fluids such as preseminal fluid, which is clear and not always visible, especially in small amounts) was ever found.

I think when the swabs were sent to the lab, however, they returned results showing the presence of either semen or preseminal fluid, which returned DNA that didn't match the DNA they had on file for Justin.

I think it was at that point we saw movement in the case backing off Justin.

I think it was at that point they also got Cyr's DNA sample and then tested it, and it matched the DNA on the swabs.

It's further made me wonder if Cyr either couldn't "complete" the act (no semen seen), and that's when he became enraged and killed her. Perhaps he'd already paid her, and demanded his money back.

It's just all so terribly sad to me, especially because Jaymie was pregnant.

Just my :cow:

ETA Autopsy report. Yes, it does say "seen" and not "found". Also says no "definite" sperm. Sperm not semen, i.e., doesn't say semen not found, just says no definite sperm.

Acute inflammation and some red blood cells are noted in the vaginal swab. No definite sperm is seen in the oral, vaginal or rectal swabs.

If a man wore a condom would that prevent his sperm from being found in Jaymie's body?

Can Joseph post bond?

This article explains why condoms fail when they do, which in turn explains satisfactorily to me, why there would be bodily fluids containing DNA, but no sperm, if indeed no sperm were found.

But the autopsy report says "no definite sperm", which to me, isn't the same as no sperm found. Sounds like the medical examiner saw something, perhaps under the microscope, but couldn't say for sure if it/they were sperm or not.

For lewalters -

Thank you so much for your information, it must be incredibly difficult to be in your situation and I pray you and your loved ones will find peace very soon.

Being that we are on a sleuthing forum, however, there are parts of your post that give me pause for thought.

.
I do not believe that they have video of him at walmart because if they did...they would have look at the parking lot video and verified what vehicle he drove. .

There may not have been usable footage in the carpark...often they are not completely covered by cctv. Sadly we know this from various crimes, such as the Boca Raton Mall Murders.

. I woke up and he was sitting in the living room watching tv already. Thats yet another reason why this does not add up. I know what time he was home. There is no way in hades that he could have committ the crime describe in the autopsy report and be home when he was.

You say he couldn't have done that crime in that time, but do you actually know how long it takes a strong man to beat and kill a pregnant woman?

Not very long at all. Minutes at most. :(

I'm horrified there is are so many inaccuracies in the warrant, but none of those inaccuracies seem to "prove" his innocence? I believe LE would not have charged him if they didn't feel they had an airtight case.

Did you know about his CL activities? I was married to a man for 10 years it turned out I didn't know him at all.

As far as the video is concerned...I was told that it was a rumor started either by the defense attorney for Justin Adams or the media. Again...I have a copy of the receipt. I know what was purchased and I know it all came home.

My comment about him not having time...I understand that murdering someone could possibly be done quickly. However, someone would have had to clean up and dispose of any items necessary. Like I stated before I saw him in the same clothes he left in...perfectly in place. He didn't come home and take a shower or wash clothes or anything like that. That's all my comment meant.

I'm not here to prove to anyone why I believe he is innocent. I simply wanted to point out the things in the affadavit that are lies. As I stated before it is a crime to falsify a sworn affadavit.

I do not believe they have an airtight case at all. I believe thats why they refuse to give discovery in a timely manner. It is my opinion that they don't actually have anything. They arrested Justin Adams and clearly did not have an airtight case. They made him sit for what 6 months? Now they say that the cell phone tower pings they had originally put in his arrest affadavit were incorrect. My only purpose in speaking up is to point out simply that they are holding a man under reasons in an affadavit that are untrue. I do not think that is how our justice system is intended to work.

And lastly...no I had no idea he had answered an ad on CL until a homicide detective called and questioned me. :(

Thank you for being so candid.

I hope you have a lot of support from friends and family. It sounds as though things are going to get rough.

This site will be supportive of you no matter what.

I know that LE sometimes lie, from personal experience. Often they just want an arrest. If this happens it almost always falls apart at trial, that's if they get there in the first place.

Judges are well aware of SOME LE shenanigns, at least where I live, and tend to be very hard on them because of it.

We have one LE team in particular who conduct investigations like they are the A team or something - arrest first, maximum havoc, smash or confiscate everything in sight, then drop the charges later when they figure out they don't have enough (or any) evidence.

BTW I (kind of) know what you're going through - my ex was arrested and thrown in jail illegally for a crime he didn't commit.

They ended up dropping the charges but he spent the weekend in hard lock up, it was very scary.

The reason he was arrested? LE have a grudge against him of long standing. I got treated like carp as his partner and the Detectives lied right in front of me to the judge in court.

It was horrible, and that was only for a (relatively) minor crime - you must feel 100x worse.

He's very lucky to have you either way. Stay strong.

At this time bond has been denied.

No one charged with two counts of first degree murder is allowed to post bond. Justin Adams wasn't allowed to bond out of jail for this reason too.

Have you spoken with someone who can give you sound advice on how you can protect your assets and such? You are Joseph Cyr's girlfriend and you share assets. Can you legally do something to protect yourself so you don't go bankrupt? Have you looked into this? Bluesky

Thank you for your post. I am sorry you had to go through that as well. Honestly I was terrified to post here. When I did a news interview I read the comments on Facebook. I got called hopeless, idiot, disgusting, weak and a slew of other fun names. I don't blame people. The internet paints an ugly picture. I don't mean to step on toes as I know we may not all share the same religion...but my belief is that God will always be on the side of truth. And I know in my heart the truth will come out in this case.

I have an awesome support group of friends and family. I am truly blessed. His family is very supportive and help out with the babies. My family is close so they help out a lot. And now we just wait for July 1st and pray they don't postpone. We have our ducks in a row and are prepared. I don't think LE will be unfortunately. On april 25th they almost delayed because they had not even assigned a prosecuter. I just pray it doesn't take 6 months like with Justin Adams.

Yes. Thank you for mentioning. Truth be told bond would be pointless because I don't have anywhere near $100k. Him and I have talked about that. He knows he just has to hang in there until a judge can hear this case. It sucks but there's nothing else we can do.

I can't imagine how you feel or if I would stay with him if I were you. I lived in denial for a long time when my husband was obviously cheating. at least a dozen and one a teenager claiming to be pregnant with his child. he liked picking women up on craigslist or really anywhere he could.
I've been 50/50 this whole case, as I'm familiar with Justin's family, I dislike him but I can't tell if he's a murderer and its worrysome. I tried to be verified but I seem to miss the phone calls.
it certainly seems like lets pick the easiest and bash our way thru this case for the LE, this certainly ain't like law and order svu. and I'm afraid its gonna drag on for some time. all this sloppy police work and it might not be either one of the two. Heck my ex still picks up women off craigslist maybe he did it, I know he wasn't at home that night or with his mistress because I'd kicked him out.

I am sorry that you have had to deal with this, it cant be easy,my philosophy has always been be true to yourself and stick with what you believe, it might be bad to abandon someone else, but dont ever abandon your own beliefs, thats way worse!

You needn't worry about posting here. Everyone is supportive (even when a discussion gets heated, the mods do a wonderful job of setting everyone straight), and you may find some great advice here.

I'm glad you have a good support system - that is invaluable in bad times. I pray that no matter what the future holds, God gives you peace of mind through it all, and I pray that truth prevails quickly.

I just spent all day reading the last 40+ pages. I have to say- Justin sounds like a selfish idiot and definitely made himself look terrible while dealing with the police but he was trying to cover up what him & Jaymie were doing on CL. His mom didn't help make him look any better, that's for sure.
I have to say it looks very probable Cyr was the one responsible for her death. He lied about canceling on her probably because he knew she was dead and wanted to make detectives believe he was no where near her that night.
With all due respect, Lewalters, the green river killer- Gary Ridgeway- was happily married for 20+ years and his wife had no idea that he killed the 71 women that he confessed to killing. Police believe it to be more than 90 and he was convicted of the murders of 49. She also believed he didn't have the time to commit such crimes. I do feel for you and I am so glad to read that you have an excellent support system. I wish you the best.
