OK - Jody Rilee Wilson, 23, murdered, Wister, 5 May 2009 *Arrests*

Here's a paragraph from the Daily Record article Bella refers to above:

Annabelle, who turned 2 on Saturday, was not around when the Rilees arrived in Oklahoma. Her father, Donald "Bo" Wilson, and his parents weren't home. The Wilson's told the Rilees on Wednesday afternoon that they might visit a sick relative in New Mexico. By the time the Rilees got to Oklahoma on Thursday, they said the Wilsons were gone, and not returning phone calls or text messages.

And a bit more regarding the Rilees's continuing efforts in OK:

The Rilees were hoping this past week to move the focus of the story 100 miles to the north — to the parking lot of the Pig Out Palace restaurant in Henryetta, Okla., just off Route 40. That's where Jody's Chevrolet Blazer was found on June 8, 2009, according to Oklahoma authorities.

Barry Ruth, owner of the restaurant, said he called a towing company because the vehicle had been there for weeks.
---
Jim Rilee contacted the restaurant owners this past week to ask if they would put up fliers about his daughter (...) Ruth and his daughter Krystle Kelley, who manages the restaurant, said no fliers ever had been put up there. They agreed to display them. "I'm more than happy to do what I can to help," Kelley said.

The article is certanly worth reading, and can be found here:

Jim and Stacey Rilee of Roxbury, NJ head to Okla. to spend time with granddaughter, who is nowhere to be found

Needless to say, I agree with Bella's assessment of the other family's actions; this case not only reflects negatively on them, but also on Oklahoma's law enforcement and its ability to solve crime. The known facts of this case all would seem to point in one direction. Why that direction hasn't been followed to the utmost, one can only guess. Those of us who live in Oklahoma can only be embarrassed by this case staying unsolved - and too we can and do pray for justice for the Rilees.

How depressing! This case is absolutely unbelievable. I don't know how the Rilee's are keeping it together. My heart breaks for them. They must be very strong. I hope they know how many people are behind them; concerned for them.

Come on Oklahoma. Do something right and honorable! Do your jobs! Get off your butts! Quit playing the ol' boys' game.

Rant over. (For now.)

I don't know if anyone has seen this clip but it shows some good shots of Jody's husband... maybe someone might remember him driving her vehicle and such, still think something isn't right with him. He avoids the Rilee's at all cost and that says guilty to me big time!

I will go further and say that something isn't right with many people in that area, including LE. No one seems to care about poor Jody. Is it that she was an 'outsider'?

You couldn't pay me to live in that area. (Sorry WGFDOT! Hopefully your area of OK is better. I know there are many wonderful people in OK, but, my gosh, LE is simply pathetic and locals simply don't speak up enough. Is it corruption?)

WEBSITE READIED: Roxbury mayor hopes for tips
---
[Jim] Rilee is putting final touches on a website devoted to his daughter, Jody Rilee Wilson, 23, in the hope that a collection of news stories and photos will jog someone's memory and help solve the mystery of her death. And Rilee, Roxbury's mayor, will be buoyed, but only a little, by a statement released this past week by Oklahoma law enforcement.

Jessica Brown, a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation, said she had some "positive news'' last week after talking to agents working on the case. After two years of no new leads, she said agents "are working on a few leads right now.''

This investigation needs to be turned over to someone who can solve it.

All evidence points to husband and his family and no others. Without proper cause of death, this case is dead as she is

At least some good news. FINALLY.

Finally, Rilees win unsupervised visits with Oklahoma granddaughter (dailyrecord.com)
Annabelle, her 23-month-old granddaughter, ran into Stacey Rilee‘s arms on the last day of their visit this past week, smiling and yelling “Ma!” Over four days, they spent time together in a park, went swimming and visited Santa in a mall — all the things grandparents do with grandchildren.

Jim and Stacey Rilee say they have not had that kind of visit since their daughter’s body was found on an Oklahoma mountaintop in 2009. They weren’t allowed to be alone with Annabelle after their daughter’s death — labeled suspicious by authorities — and went a year without being allowed to see her at all, they say.

OSBI offering rewards in 2009 deaths

Authorities are offering rewards for information in two separate LeFlore County deaths in 2009.

Up to $5,000 is being offered for information in deaths of Joe Neff of Poteau and Jodi Wilson of Wister, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reported. Her name has also been spelled Jody Rilee-Wilson.

Wilson's body was found May 8, 2009, by a paraglider at Runestone State Park near Heavener, authorities said.

The state Medical Examiner's Office could not determine a cause of death because the body was too badly decayed, according to the OSBI.

She was 23.

Her husband, Donald "Bo" Wilson, reported her missing May 9, OSBI said. Her vehicle was found June 8 at the parking lot of the Pig Out Palace in Henryetta.

Investigators consider the death suspicious, and a reward will be offered if it is determined to be a homicide, authorities said.

In both cases, investigators have followed numerous leads but have not found suspects, the OSBI reported.

Anyone with information about either death is asked to call 800-522-8017.

Well, I'm shocked....in a good way. I really had my doubts that much effort was being put into this case by OSBI. Maybe this reward will lure out a local with some information tucked away.

Jodi did not drag herself into the woods many miles away from where her car was abandoned.

Nor did she wrap herself in a trash bag

Cubby, could we get Jody's maiden name put in the title of this thread?

I don't understand why the threads have been renamed? Apparently the maiden name was taken out of the 1st post too. They should be Jody Rilee Wilson

According to one of her relatives the total reward is now at $35,000
