the irony here is hard to miss. Ott bailed out his own murderer. When Ott had nothing left with which to try to help his friend Kelly, Kelly shot him and Karen Ott. With friends like that who the heck needs enemies

Court documents show Shawn Ott, 34, one of the victims in Wednesday’s double homicide, paid Kelly’s bond.

In a signed handwritten note, Ott stated he had paid for Kelly’s bond and that he had no other money to help Kelly.

“Shawn Ott paid for bond for David Kelly. Has no more money and can not borrow any,” the note stated.

So LE was not quite honest when they said there were no signs of trauma or that they were not looking for a suspect. Or, alternatively, it was the media just making up something to put in the article.

I'm glad they have arrested a suspect and I wonder if he is related to the people? I also wonder when they will release the names of the deceased?

Or depending on the caliber of the gun... the location of the shot... and the amount of hair the person had, how the person was positioned in relation to the wound... they may not have seen the wound yet when they said that.

There have been cases where a gunshot wound to the head was missed until the autopsy.
If they hadn't even removed the bodies yet, they may not have seen it until they moved them.

David Bryan Kelly, the Pauls Valley man charged with first-degree murder in the 2011 shooting deaths of Karen Ott and her son Shawn Ott, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole in a Garvin County courtroom...

Kelly pled guilty to first-degree murder charges in July in connection to the deaths of Karen Ott, 58, and her son Shawn Ott, 34.

The Otts' bodies were found in separate mobile homes located on the same property southwest of Pauls Valley in December of 2011. Both had suffered gunshot wounds to the head... According to Kelly, he had been using drugs the night of the murders and has no clear memory of the actual shootings.
