As many of you know, Oklahoma is notorious for not working their cold cases. I have been researching one Cold Case that is not far from where I work. It was a case of a former Assistant Police Chief that was found murdered in a field. There is very little information on him and very few people that talk about it. His name was Kenneth Wayne Ball and he left behind a wife and children. At one point, his wife was a suspect but there was not enough evidence to charge her. She also went on to marry another suspect.

Ken Ball was last seen with his wife at a George Strait concert in Stillwater, OK. He died in January of 1985 and his wife married one of the suspects in December 1985, but divorced him less than a year later. It is believed that she was previously having an affair with this man.
