ABOUT ME

Laid back, fun loving, traveling on a budget.
I like to run, take road trips, hike, and read.
I am interested in hosting, but have children who are home a lot and cannot host when they are here.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to be able to look back when I'm 80 and be happy with my life experiences. I try to make the most out of every day. Experiences are more important to me than things.

page 33 has an article about her lifestyle. This is where she works. One thing mentioned is that she did have a Fitbit. I bet she has a more high tech runners watch now. More of my thoughts on this below.

I’m not quite sure how this works. But IF she had a Garmin watch, my understanding from this article is once a connection is made via Bluetooth it could sync automatically to a Strava account. So I’m wondering if that means she could have connected her watch to vehicle Bluetooth and if so it would automatically sync? Would activity be possible to pull up on a Strava account? I will try to look at some running pics to see what type of watch she wore.
Garmin and Strava – Strava Support

Automatically Sync with Garmin Connect
  • From the Garmin Connect mobile app:
    • If your Garmin device is Bluetooth-enabled, you can download the Garmin Connect mobile app, create a Garmin Connect account, and link to your Strava account by going to Settings > 3rd Party Apps > Strava.
    • Once activities are wirelessly uploaded to the app via Bluetooth, they will appear on Strava a few moments later.
    • After your first upload, Garmin will also sync your past 90 days of activity to Strava.

It’s pretty much on Facebook, and the Landrunners Oklahoma City Club. It’s getting a lot of shares. The Oklahoman just ran a story on it. Maybe since the car has now been located perhaps we will see more attention to it.
Her running group mentioned has a reply on their post with a link to new info. I hope it is ok to say that. I don’t think I can post the groups page though.

How big is the park?

How big is the park?
The park is not huge (30 acres) and although it has lots of trees it's not what I would call "forested" (I went to the Transportation Safety Institute in OKC for air crash investigator training some years ago). We used to run and bike there, it's a nice area and park with paved paths for running.

Nothing on FB or Twitter other than one unsourced claim by "Okc Bill."

Just found out I have a couple acquaintances who know a relative. Trying to back-channel for info.

It would be heartening if she were found today on what would have been the 20th running of the Memorial Marathon. Life-affirming.

If her leaving was voluntary, which it would appear to be by the wording of the above, I doubt if the public will ever learn the reasons for her having gone missing.
