No, the 12-year-old boy was BEING babysat by someone in the family. If this boy does exist, I sure hope he wasn't abused them in his own right.

If she didn't have morning sickness and had never had a period, most likely the pregnancy could indeed have gone undetected until fairly late in the whole process. I do wish only the best for that baby, who asked for none of this, and the girl, who didn't either. I'm also thankful that they didn't kill that baby when it was born.

Also given she is reported to have a slender build, parents were lying about the pregnancy. They knew and hid her when she started showing. Disgusting monsters.

Horrifying possibility. I hope they are both in a stable, peaceful, supportive, and loving home.

I wonder how this will play out in the long term? Assuming the parents go away for a good long while, and Grandma Michelle will not be allowed custody, God forbid.

I think it unlikely. Not many places can take that many young children, all of whom are going to have complex needs. I'm guessing no more than two per placement.

Investigators said the child had not seen a doctor in more than a year and had not received any prenatal care. Hutson told KJRH the incident came to light only after the girl was taken to the hospital following the birth.

I like how the "Grandmother" in the article defends the home for being filled with animal fecal matter, on the pets. Seriously?! I have had pets, and our home NEVER had animal feces on the floor. Sure, a puppy had an accident, which was immediately taken care of. Not a house so grotesque it merited being commented on in an article. This was not a one time puppy mess.

11 years old, my little girl is 11 in November and is still very much a little girl who loves soft toys and pink and lego. She has been robbed of her childhood and the trauma must be unimaginable. I wish we could chop his bits off.

- The couple were also charged with six counts of felony child neglect, including failing to provide the 11-year-old with adequate medical care and supervision when she gave birth at home, according to court documents.

-The remaining five counts of child neglect allege neglect of the five children they share, ages 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9, on or between Jan. 1 and Aug. 16. The children were "living in deplorable conditions," according to the documents. "The victims were found to be living in dog feces and had no clothing on," court documents say.

-"Each of the charges against both defendants are punishable by up to life," Hutson said.

According to the article the parents initially claimed not to know the 11 yr old was pregnant. Parents names are (stepfather) Dustin Walker & (mother) Cherie Walker.

Bond has been set at $100,000 each. A hearing is scheduled for Sept 3.

Each parent is facing a possible life sentence…I think in this case that is completely appropriate due to the devastating impact this will have on that little 11 yr old girl and the baby boy she gave birth to. Not to mention all 5 of her siblings who are now wards of the state.

I hope this baby girl has a biological father or a close relative who is up to adopting her and possibly the baby, able to do the hard work that will be needed to give her back what remains of her childhood. I don’t know if it is even possible, but she deserves the opportunity to try. This nightmare she’s been living through no fault of her own shouldn’t define the rest of her life. It just hurts my heart knowing that at 11 years old that and her sorry excuse for a parent have caused so much trauma that she will carry for too many years.

I'm glad to see they could get life in prison. They deserve it. And all the kids deserve a life free of them.

Here’s an update to this case:
Cherie Walker is pregnant and expected to give birth at any time.
The DNA test results show that Dustin Walker is the father of the 11-year-old baby.
Prosecutors have added charges against him for sexual abuse of a minor and charges against Cherie Walker for permitting sexual abuse and new child neglect charges against both of them, covering the other children in the home that are 9, 7, 6, 4 and 2 years old.

Well that’s a plot twist I didn’t expect!! I don’t remember the ages of the kids. Was this child the oldest female? If not all the littles need to undergo genetic testing.
