Police in suburban Oklahoma City say the bodies of three people have been discovered inside a residence in what's being investigated as an apparent murder-suicide.

The Edmond Police Department says the bodies were found early Friday after someone called 911 to report a disturbance. Authorities say a second 911 caller from the home told a dispatcher that someone had been shot.

Responding officers believed at least one hostage was being held and attempted to speak with someone inside the residence. When no contact was made, they went inside and found the bodies.

Sgt. James Hamm said Sarah Semlar, 29, and Adam Crawford, 30, were shot and killed by Scott Garber, 43, all while Garber's 11-year-old daughter was inside the home. Hamm said Semlar and Garber were engaged to be married. Crawford was a friend to both.

Hamm said a friend was on the phone with Semlar when Semlar said, "Garber has a gun." That friend then called 911, police said, to report a domestic situation was happening.

As officers were being dispatched to the home, police said 911 received another call from the home from Garber, who they said admitted he killed his fiancee and his friend.

"He said his 11-year-old daughter was in the home and he'd left instructions for who officers could contact to come pick up the daughter," Hamm said. "He also said he was going to go into the front yard and take his own life at that time."
