First post. Not sure I am doing this right :)

Been doing some deep digging on 1808UMOK. The brutality of the case stuck with me. The Doe was found on April 18, 1983 with his head, arms and genitals cut off at the edge of a clear-cut on the property of the logging company Weyerhaeuser, about 10 miles north of Wright City. A clear-cut is where the ground is cleared of brush and debris prior to seeding. The area is very remote.

According to Doe Network he had:
"Extremely hairy torso. Scoliosis to the right. Probable tattoos on right and left forearm and/or hands. Bunion on big toe of each foot. Misshaped toenails on second toe of each foot. A retention cyst in each kidney. Circumcised."

I've looked through a lot of newspaper articles from that time and none reference any of the medical issues he suffered nor his probable tattoos (not even sure what that means?). According to one article from the Oklahoma City Times dated April 19 1983, an autopsy *was* ordered (source) I assume someone had access to this to update the case on Doe Network. It still doesn't show on NamUs though. I submitted some other missing info I found to Doe Network and they updated the case recently. Other articles I've found mention how leads have dried up, and that there is a reward for information. I've asked politely for an autopsy report from the CME in OK. We'll see if anything comes of that :\

The particular savagery of the killing makes me think it was personal.

OK, I'm going to ask. How do they know he was circumcised if his genitals were cut off (unless they were hung around his neck)?

John Doe was discovered 50 ft off Logging Rd 74000 on property belonging to Wayerhaeuser, Inc, about 15 miles NW of Broken Bow. Found by Weyco road grader operator just north of crows foot on 74000 haul road. He was lying on his stomach. A pillowcase was found near the body as was a pair of shorts, socks and a shirt. His head, hands, and genitals were missing. Manner of death is homicide but cause of death is publicly unknown.

John Doe was estimated to be 40-50 years old with abundant, graying light brown body hair. It's believed he had tattoos. He was around 5'9 and 145 lbs. It's believed he'd been deceased for about three days when found. John Doe is listed as # UP4929 in NaMus and there is one exclusion for him.

Thanks. So it's not clear why they think/someone thinks he was circumcised.

I'm going to hazard a guess that he was a sex offender of some sort. Possibly a paedophile.
