OK - Oaklee Snow, 2, found deceased, Cromwell, 19 Jan 2023 *arrest*

Her bail is set at $2,000 cash.
$2,000?! Seems she's a bit of a flight risk. I hope she doesn't get out and take off again.

Also from the article:

Marshall’s due in court again on Thursday for a pretrial conference.

Love, peace, and justice for Oaklee! :(
Agreed.
And hoping for the harshest justice allowed by the state.
If they didn't want her, why didn't they give her back to her bio dad ?
Despicable excuse of a 'mother', and the boyfriend is equally at fault.
Imo.

Rest in gentle peace and fly with the angels, little Oaklee !

"New details reveal that the mother of abducted 2-year-old Oaklee Snow told police that her boyfriend, Roan Waters, killed the young girl and hid her body in a dresser in an abandoned Morgantown home.

Madison Marshall faces a slew of new felony charges including two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in death, a Level 1 felony along with neglect resulting in serious injury, a Level 3 felony.

Roan Waters faces one count of murder along with two counts of neglect leading to death and other charges.
...
officers to an abandoned home in the outskirts of Morgantown where the remains of a child were found in the bottom of a dresser drawer. The remains were badly decomposed but appeared to be a blonde-haired young girl, the documents said.
..
Marshall reportedly told police how Waters frequently abused Oaklee and had often hit the girl and even “choked her out” on occassion. He would reportedly beat her for things as simple as “holding a fork wrong,” according to Marshall."

Not to put the mother out of responsibility, but the BF seems to be a horrid person. He should not have been allowed to be around anyone with the records that I have seen. Poor girl was taken to soon because she was a child with a man that couldn't stand anything requiring attention and mother that was troubled as well. I will give a minimal benefit she did want to call 911 like she said. At least the child and the other side of the family can rest knowing where she is and can start healing.

dontcha just love how whenever there is some substance abusing poor excuse for a mother actively refusing to cooperate in looking for her "missing" child, then that same mother later turns around to give a detailed account of how very abusive their boyfriend was to their child up to the point of murder?

It's almost like they can't wait to give the horrible details. Probably in hopes a jury will buy their "I was so scared of him" bullcrap. I guess these women all think "better the kid then me" right up until the day the child dies and then it's woe is me, mean mean boyfriend, what could I do, blah blah blah.

sickening

My opinion is that MM is quite as responsible.
At some point she knew what this RW was, and yet she stayed with him and still allowed him to abuse Oaklee.
No compassion for women who do not stop an abuser and at least try to get their kids away from that person.

She had a phone I'm assuming ?
Why didn't she call 911 if he wouldn't stop choking or hitting Oaklee ?
Why wait until this poor girl was dead, and still she kept quiet !

How is a child that age supposed to "hold their fork correctly" ?
Children at that age are still managing finger foods and may need a little help with foods that have to be eaten with a fork/spoon.
This case has me seeing red.

Yah, no pass for her at all.

Oaklee Snow died on Feb. 9, according to the court documents. Marshall told police she recalled her and Waters being awoken by Oaklee crying because she was hungry. This is when the couple was reportedly staying at the “trap house” on Albany Street in Indianapolis.

Marshall accused Waters of throwing Oaklee on the floor in response to her crying with the girl’s head impacting the ground and causing bruising. Marshall said later Waters was shouting at Oaklee to bounce on a large rubber ball despite the child being too small for the toy. Waters reportedly shouted for Marshall sometime later with the mother running in to find Waters holding Oaklee, who was struggling to breathe.
*Pathetic people!

The court cases were being updated as I was posting on them; so here's where things are now. Her 49D20-2303-F6-007651 and 49D20-2304-F1-011869 are now both being heard in Marion Superior Court. 20. Her bail amount for the F6 case has been revised and her next hearing date is the same as her date for the F1 charge. It looks like she now has 6 NCOs on today's date and 2 on March 16.

I just read the WTHR article titled "Court docs: mother led police to abandoned home where Oaklee Snow's body was found". Sorry it's just the title as I haven't yet figured out how to post links to news articles.

After seeing RW's baby face in his mugshot I fully realized how low his level of maturity is. He appears to be little more than a 25-year-old adolescent. The WTHR article details some of his behavior toward Oaklee in the final months of her life. IMHO he seems to be a narcissist who fancies himself a bad dude.

Popcorn was a bad dude. The prisons are full of them. And RW has a great deal of growing up to do behind bars. Maybe all those "daddies" will be more merciful to him than he was to Oaklee. JMO

Such a big part of me wishes I had not read what precious Oaklee experienced at the hands of that horrible evil being. I just do not understand why her “mother” would take her knowing where she herself was in life and that it was no place for a child. Pure selfishness is why she took her so I say she is just as guilty. IMO.

Here's a link to the article, blooboy77.

Some good news: A motion has already been filed to increase her bond as the prosecution feels she could be a flight risk.
