OK OK - Patricia Taylor, 14, Tulsa County, 1 Jan 1980

So I do have a match that has very similar dental information to Patricia. I just want to know if she went missing in 1981 like it says or 1994 when that letter was sent. On second thought, I was thinking about the braces when Patricia may or may not have had brace at the time. Could they have been removed just prior?

Not sure about the braces, I think they may have been removed prior, but her dental records have been lost.
Her last seen date is August 31, 1981, which I believe comes from DHS paperwork.

ETA: Never mind about the letter, I found the source:

I think it's possible Patricia Lynn Taylor might be the Iola Jane Doe. One of the articles about the Iola Doe talk about little circles on her teeth (which I assume would be braces, which Patricia had). I don't think Sheryl Denise Taylor will match the Iola Doe. She doesn't match the age, the height, or the estimated weight. Patricia had red hair and green eyes and dental work. Sheryl Taylor's sister said she didn't remember Sheryl ever getting dental work. Patricia was shuttled between foster care and family members' homes in Oklahoma.

Also, the original forensics on the case said the Iola Doe had been dead from 3 - 6 months (Patricia disappeared in August 1981 and the Iola Texas Doe was found in late October that same year). Later articles revise the estimated death from 1 - 5 years with the body having been stored in a cool dry location. I think the original estimate might be the correct one.

Both have DNA available, and should have matched if this were Patricia, so I'm thinking this isn't her.

You're right. Both Sheryl and Patricia's cases hit close to home for me. I was born and raised in Oklahoma--Sand Springs, Claremore, Tulsa. Here's hoping both cases find resolution soon.

I'm hoping for resolution, too.

I think of Patricia Taylor often. I was actually looking at Jane Doe's yesterday in hopes of potentially finding her.

I read somewhere that her family received a post card that was signed Patricia & her bf Don. I wish we could find him.

Ok, so I was actually looking to match the Iola Jane Doe and stumbled across Patricia. Like others, I thought they could be a match. And, while there's still a chance as they haven't been ruled out, I was looking at other Jane Does. I came across a few that might match her description. I think since circumstances are unclear of how or why Patricia went missing, there's a good chance she ran away. Especially since she was bouncing around in foster care. I'm wondering if there's a database (and if not how we could make one) of high risk victims. Sex workers and homeless go missing all the time and often don't have a voice when they become victims. Below are some Jane Does that could be Patricia.

Some of the pictures don't exactly look like her, but they don't NOT look liker her as well. Drugs, homelessness, and certain lifestyles could alter appearances sometimes.

Thoughts?

Please bear with me as I am extremely new to this site! I have been very perplexed by Patricia's case. I often wonder where she might have been heading when she left. It has crossed my mind that maybe she wanted to visit or live where she was born, in California. When looking at Jane Does, this one caught my attention (The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)) I'm not sure if anyone has ever looked at her but I didn't see her on the exclusion list. (I might have overlooked it) The circular scar on the right knee stood out to me! I wonder if this Jane Doe worked at Solley's Restaurant, since she had a tshirt with that name on it. They had two locations in the 80s close to Los Angeles. I'm curious about anyone's thoughts or if this has already been looked into?

I wonder if Patrica might’ve been a victim of Royal Long? About a month after she disappeared, he kidnapped Cinda Pallett and Charlotte Kinsey from the Oklahoma State Fair.

I did wonder. I think that she could have been a victim of the Redhead Murders. But then again, some of those murders could have been Long's.

I can see that, but I wonder if she had the tattoo as well.
