OK OK - Peggy McGuire, 28, Eufaula, 16 Nov 2015

I just say on the bring Peggy home page, that Peggy's case will be featured on Nancy Grace Monday the 21st at 7:00pm.

Who am I? I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind which encourages you to be who you choose to be as long as you are truthful to yourself. I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind that encourages you to reach higher. I am that tiny voice in the back of your mind that makes you understand that you are a survivor...that you are important...that you matter.

Yeah, I saw that. I wonder if its going to have any new information or just the same content that the local media sources have presented.

It would be great if she would have LE on to discuss it and garner some new info. Peggy's case needs a boost to keep her name and face out there.

Going to be a long wait until Monday! I hope people will get out and about this weekend to look on their own properties to see if she could be there. Maybe Peggy's neighbors could reach out to people wanting to search and allow them to comb their land. If LE isn't going to do it...someone should! Julie P. is up in arms about it and I agree with her! LE need to be consistent with doing searches and with information to the family. The family deserves to know Peggy is their top priority and what they are doing to find her.

Peggy McGuire. You are not forgotten! It is almost Christmas and people want you home where you belong with your son.

I have a feeling this case is going to take a very long time to solve, especially if no body is found.

As history shows, it is extremely hard to convict someone of murder without a body. There have only been a handful of no murder convictions in Oklahoma. And even if a charge or conviction happens, it can take years to build a case.

If the right pressure is applied, there is always the possibility someone could crack.

Granted, it is extremely difficult to prosecute a case with no body if there is also no solid evidence. But in this case we have her truck with possible evidence especially since the man didn't realize there would be a way to verify she did not leave the truck. Oops. Huge miscalculation on his part. The tiny hole in the wall bar had a parking surveillance camera!

There was also enough evidence somehow for LE to get search warrants to serve at the home and property. No telling what LE did find through the search warrants. It could lead to a no body conviction if there is enough circumstantial evidence to convince a jury there is no way she left on her own and she was indeed murdered. I believe they would try to prosecute the case even without her body if they have the evidence pointing in that direction.

I have faith they'll find her eventually, might have to wait until the weather clears up. Look at some other cases in the surrounding counties. The Jamison family wasn't found until about 3 years or so after they we're reported missing and they were so close...
Peggy is out there somewhere and she'll be found, just might take he** freezing over and thawing out again, but she'll be found.

I know there have been missing person cases out there that have been relatively quick to file charges against a suspect (Heather Elvis in 3 months although no conviction after 2 years), but I haven't seen that for cases in Oklahoma. One case that comes to mind is the Logan Tucker case back in the early 2000's.

Logan went missing in 2002, but despite sufficient evidence, a suspect was not charged until 2006. A subsequent conviction occurred in 2007.

I remember reading about Logan, glad to know that there has been an arrest and a conviction.

Yeah, it was pretty amazing. No body was ever found, yet the culprit was charged and convicted for murder. It takes a lot of work, but it can be done.

I know it's extremely rare in Virginia also.

They just successfully prosecuted a no body guilty murder case that had been discussed at some length here on WS - the case of Claudine Gifford.

It was only a six day trial start to finish, with about 3 hour deliberation, and the perp was found guilty of second degree murder plus concealment of a body, but the very new BF (Kessler) was found guilty of killing Claudine and is expected serve the full maximum of his 45 year sentence in her death.

The perp was so confident he'd not be charged, he actually turned down an offer of taking 20 years in jail and risked the jury verdict, which ended up being more than double the deal offered him.

Anyway, hopefully just a slight encouragement from a recent case, despite being in another state.

Interesting stat related to the Gifford case and no body convictions:

The number of no-body murder convictions in Virginia has now reached 10, according to Thomas A. DiBiase, who tracks no-body convictions nationwide. And Spencer is the first prosecutor in the state to win two no-body murder convictions.

I remember in the Bundy case, hunters found some human bones while they were hunting in early spring/late winter. We may be in for a wait, as several WS'ers have already said. I do feel like she is deceased, and that it prolly happened very soon after she disappeared. Oh, I hope I am wrong, but this is so much like so many other cases we have followed, it just seems to fit the pattern. And I just don't see her taking off with someone and leaving her child behind.

We just need to pay attention to any details that could lead us to someone who either wanted her dead for some reason, or to someone who may have noticed her (someone she had just met or perhaps a long-lost boyfriend) stalked her, or it could be just a "wrong place, wrong time" kind of unfortunate event. A patient she had been especially nice to? Some nut patient? A patient would know where she worked and prolly would know the hours she worked. SMH.

I graduated with Peggy and grew up in Eufaula. My heart is just broken by all of this. It's really hard to imagine something like this happening to someone that you grew up around. I really hope they find her soon. Did anyone happen to watch the Nancy Grace episode? I missed it and would like to know if anything noteworthy was said.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. I hope and pray that she's found soon.. Sorry I don't watch Nancy Grace so I haven't a clue.

No updates in the media for the past week that I can find on the internet. And it is Christmas Eve. I feel bad for her son this time of year.

I watched the segment on Nancy Grace and I can explain it a bit.

Nancy Grace asked the questions that we all have been wanting to ask, but as with most of us, the answers could not be spoken due to the ongoing investigation. Two new points of information during Nancy Grace.

1) Peggy's live in boyfriend (and father of her child) picked her son up from school on Monday. Nancy also questioned whether the school had to notify the boyfriend to pick up the child or if he just picked him up on his own, but the interviewer could not provide an answer. The interviewer simply said "Good Question".

2) When asked, the interviewer claimed that Peggy did not live with her child's father. As per other MSM reports, this is not true. I'm not sure why the interviewer made this statement. I'm guessing she was just attempting to protect the investigation.

Nancy Grace is a useful tool to help bring increased attention to the case, but as the audience grows, the obvious questions will continue to get asked. As those questions go unanswered, frustration with the case will continue to grow.

Unless stated otherwise, the above statements are of my opinion only.

Skull With Possible Gunshot Wound Found Near Lake Eufaula

They said the skull was found near the Turkey Flat area of Arrowhead State Park on Lake Eufaula.

http://www.news9.com/story/30827768/skull-with-possible-gunshot-wound-found-near-lake-eufaula

The skull reportedly had a bullet hole and more remains were not found in the area.

The Turkey Flat area is off Highway 69 and near Canadian where Peggy's son went to school. I don't know if it is possibly her or not. It seems too soon for her skull to become skeletonized, but who knows? There are a couple of other missing people in the area so maybe it is one of them instead.

Yeah, that seems too quick. It could be Tommy Eastep, but I think this is farther south from where he was.

Yes. It is possible to be Tommy Eastep. He did pop into my mind when I saw the article, but I still think he is near where his truck was found and nowhere near Lake Eufaula.

Thinking of Peggy and her family during this bad spell of weather in Oklahoma. They are having torrential rains, but if Peggy was possibly hidden in water she could be wrested out of a place and found.
