OK OK - Sharon Marshall, 20, multiple aliases, OKC, 1990 - ID'd as Suzanne Sevakis - #5

Folks, Melissa/Rhonda has never been listed as a missing person. To date we have not seen an official missing persons report or any indication Melissa/Rhonda is in fact missing or was ever missing. NCMEC is not interested in and has closed out the possible lead - for whatever reason, reasons which the general public may not be privy to.

We at WS can not be posting information or accusations against persons for which we have no credible MSM documention or police reports. We do not allow it done in other area's of the forum, thus we can not do it here. Until such a time comes when there is an official missing persons report for Melissa/Rhonda the moderators and admin here at WS have decided we will no longer allow discussion regarding the Melissa Rhonda possible match to Sharon.

So...there was never a missing persons report filed for Suzanne Maree Sevakis either....just saying. So I guess we can add a few thousand more to the missing persons books - those who's cases the cops didn't take seriously, ala Rhonda Renee Moore.

So...there was never a missing persons report filed for Suzanne Maree Sevakis either....just saying. So I guess we can add a few thousand more to the missing persons books - those who's cases the cops didn't take seriously, ala Rhonda Renee Moore.

IIRC, Rhonda was adopted out and her biological family no longer had legal rights to her. There is a difference. In one case the parent/s had parental rights, in the other the parent/s did not.

We have evidence several crimes were committed in Suzanne's case.

Honestly, Rhonda's case is better suited for the many adoption sites available to birth families and adoptees wishing to reunite with their bio family. Unless there is evidence of a crime which meets the criteria of admin, Rhonda's case is not a fit here. And we can now officially rule her out as being Sharon.

I dont at all blame them in any way shape form or fashion Cubby, I just know when I started googling all the missing persons sites , Floyd and Sharon/ and Cali were two of the only "Real" pictures they grabbed my attention quickly, Floyd and Sharon are all over every missing site , even if you dont google a name , I cant believe no one ever saw that pic , now I know we dont know everything but this is the same pic FBI showed to identify......I am surprised to say the least no one out of a minimum of six people looking and Suzanne has two older sisters, this makes it sooooooooo much sadder, that poor little girl HAD have to remembered her older sisters at 6, I guess it might have been easier if she were a throw away child , but she wasnt ....I dont know if any of you are feeling this but I looked at that picture every day for at least 10 years and Im feeling a horrible sense of loss, Im happy its resolved but somewhat sad too

I bet thousands is a low estimate of reports that were lost , or not taken, or not filed.

I don't know that they would have thought to look at missing persons versus searching whatever name Floyd used. Kind of OT but I found WS searching for a non crime related topic. I got to reading and found the interest. Without the interest in all MP cases, I don't think I would have ever expanded my search other than the name, given up at some point and then hoped she would find me as she got older.

The only question I really have is when did Suzanne's mom learn whatever name Floyd gave her was an alias? I'd bet she did not know until the FBI showed up with the picture of Floyd and her daughter.

Just want to pop in and comment on the people who wonder how the family did not connect the story of Sharon Marshall with Sharon. I believe that answer lies in the way that they were taken. Floyd left the two girls unharmed with social services. I am sure that the mom thought Floyd loved her other two children and took them away to raise them both. If I were them, any searches that I do would focus on looking for a boy and a girl. By the 90s I would be searching for a man and a woman and would be more likely to search in places like adoption forums and ancestry sites.
And I would be more likely to watch Troy Dunn than unsolved mysteries.

I would probably end up here anyway because I am interested in this stuff w/o any real reason, but I can understand why someone wouldn't think to come to a forum like Websleuths.

Hi everyone. Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.

I visited Suzanne's grave today for the first time since knowing her real name. I've visited a few times before...on Mother's Day and around Christmas time. The cemetery was empty, the birds were chirping, there was a slight crisp breeze. It was peaceful. I said aloud "Happy Thanksgiving, Miss Suzanne Marie Sevakis".

Her gravestone still says "Tonya". I wish I had the funds to replace it. Maybe someday. I never see anyone there when I visit, so I will keep visiting.

So now I am thoroughly confused. I have tried to catch up on the Sharon Marshall story and thought I had somewhat of an understanding of it until the above comments about her gravestone with the name Tonya on it. Where does the name Tonya come in and who put up the headstone for her?

There were always so many threads on Sharon Marshall and I admit I have limited reading time but I really thought I had captured the important parts but now I know I am totally lost. Sorry.

I'm getting vertigo from the Sharon/Suzanne threads. Do you suppose a mod could weave them together so that we aren't going back & forth playing catch-up? It's clearly a deeper mystery. Has her bio family not made any attempt to add another marker with her bio name or bring her remains home? Does anyone know if the Birbeck has made contact with her daughter again? Every time I think I have even a remote idea of how to put this together, I start navigating back & forth trying to understand why I can't understand anything on this case, as deeply layered as it is.
