Sharon Giusti and her two infant children -- Michelle and Clara Arlene -- disappeared from their Port Townsend farm on March 5, 1963.
On March 9, 1963, a local farmer reported that his wife, Sharon, and two daughters disappeared from the family farm four days earlier. The Giusti farm was located about five miles south of Port Townsend, Washington. The husband told deputies that he had been working in the fields all afternoon and when he returned at the end of the day, his family, a car, some clothing and cash were missing. Relatives told deputies that they had neither seen nor heard from Sharon or her two children since March 5 of that year.

The day after Sharon's husband filed the missing persons report, the car that Sharon was driving was found underneath a highway overpass more than two miles from the farm. The car was unlocked and there was no trace of Sharon or the kids.

Jennifer Klein was last seen with her family when they were camped at a campground approximately ten miles north of Moab, Utah.
The campground was in the trees and there was a path through the woods that led to the river. There were several people (adults and children) who were out by the river.
The campground was full because it was the Memorial Day weekend. Jennifer's father had gone back to the camper for something and Jenny was playing in the sand.
There was a dogfight and everyone turned their attention to the dogs. When Jennifer's mother and brother (five years old at time of disappearance) turned back around, Jennifer was gone.

Circumstances of Disappearance
Pulsifer was last seen in California in 1969. The exact date of her disappearance is unknown, however, she is missing under suspicious circumstances.
She was living with her mom, Donna Prentice, her mom's boyfriend and her 6-year-old brother in a house on Tigerfish Circle in July 1969 when she vanished. Sometime during the next two or three days the family suddenly moved to Illinois. Michelle's brother said he last saw his sister when he was 6 and she asked him to hide her. He hid Michelle under the bed covers, but their mother came and got her. When the family moved to Illinois, the brother was told there was not enough room in the car for Michelle.
No one filed a missing-person report.

In August 2004 her mother was taken into custody on an arrest warrant charging her with the murder of her daughter in 1969. Investigators also arrested her former boyfriend on the same charge.
The arrests ended a year-long investigation. Detectives couldn't find a single public record about Michelle after 1969. Prosecutors concluded that the girl was killed by her mother and the boyfriend, and that they moved so no one would notice that she was missing.

Investigators do not know exactly how Michelle died or where or how her body was disposed of. The arrested man told authorities he buried the body in Silverado Canyon in the Santa Ana Mountains before the family moved out of state. He did not admit to killing Michelle but admitted burying the girl.

Michelle's mother went to trial twice since 2007 on murder charges. Both ended in mistrials, the most recent with the jury deadlocking 11 to 1 for acquittal of second-degree murder and 7 to 5 for guilt on involuntary manslaughter. The judge ruled that there won't be a third trial, saying the evidence isn't there to get a conviction. Aside from the difficulty inherent in trying a 39-year-old case and the absence of a body, the boyfriend of the girl's mother -- who also had been charged in the case -- died in custody in 2005. He denied killing the girl, indirectly pointed the finger at her mother, Donna Prentice, but said he buried Michelle in an Orange County canyon. Prentice's attorney argued that the boyfriend was probably the killer. The case wasn't prosecuted years ago because Prentice told people that she had left Michelle with others when she and her boyfriend abruptly left Orange County for the Midwest.

Michelle's biological father says that because Prentice had full custody, he was stymied in learning of her whereabouts.

Cheryl Grimmer fits in with the age and timeline but distance being Australia would probably rule out, though I wouldn't necessarily rule out based on distance if FDF was able to obtain Sharon through a human trafficking ring of somekind. I don't see any resemblence between Cheryl and Sharon.

Remember also, that Matt chose not to work with Colleen Fitzgerald on the case. I truly believe she could have found out who Sharon truly was. She identified a baby from the Titanic and an airline pilot from a crash MANY years ago. She is an amazing woman.

There are many things, that exist, outside the boundries of 'everyday life'. An organization that kidnaps children, using them and abusing them has been talked about in other missing child cases also. Just one of those is Johnny Gosch. There was also a LOT of speculation concerning Jaycee Duggard and other children, more than just she and her two daughters, being present in PG's backyard, and the fact that there may have been an actual ring of child abusers, kidnappers. Read some of Michaela Garrechts blog passages, by her Mother, who believes that Michaela was held and made to do things she was ashamed of. That she is fearful of returning to her past, to her family.

These Mothers have more knowledge than we do, from searching for their child, from working with LE. I at this point can not rule out, completely any possibility.

I have found that often, the things we least expect to be true or possible, can and sometimes do exist.

One thing for certain. I do not believe that FDF could have gotten away with everything he did, for such a long time, without the aide of others. From 'acquiring' Sharon, to keeping her concealed and later murdering her and most likely Michael.

I have no idea. I gave Colleen her information and her Matts. He never got in touch with her, despite the efforts she made. Maybe if more of us write to her, she will try on her own. I did give her a lot of information she didn't have, ie, she didn't know that Sharon had a daughter, or that Michaels father was known.

Maybe one day she will solve the puzzle! I would love for some of us to send her additional information! She has the resources to answer the questions, if anyone can, as FF is not talking.

I'm disappointed Matt didn't take the time to follow up with Colleen. I wonder if he is still working Sharons case. Maybe he has moved onto other projects after so many years with Sharons.

Colleen would need access to the DNA on file for Sharon if she were to pursue the case on her own. Do we know if she would be able to obtain this somehow? If so it might be worth a second request asking she take Sharons case. Also, I am not entirely sure how the various DNA works. I know mitochondrial would be of little or no use to Colleen and I am unsure if she could work with nuclear dna. I just don't know enough about the Ydna stuff.

I do agree Colleen is fantastic. She is a real go getter with continuing to pursue a puzzle if the pieces don't fall together easily and quickly. SunnieRN, you might want to write Colleen again and ask a few questions about the DNA.

Seems there are always so many brick walls in this case. Maybe those brick walls are for us, JohnQpublic type persons were as Colleen has excellent credentials and due to those credentials perhaps the agencies involved would be more willing to work with Colleen. Perhaps if she is still interested and thinks she could assist the case she may be willing to contact NCMEC or the appropriate agency directly.

Plus Colleens credentials and experience would lead me to believe she would be familiar with any upcoming and the most recent developments in DNA. She would be an asset to this case in the event any new technology could assist with Sharons identification.

SunnieRN, when you write to her please express how bright Sharon was, and that she'd rec'd. a full scholarship to study science, and wanted to become an astronaut. Since Colleen has degrees in science, I think she would hold Sharon closer to her heart.

Sharon's case remains one of the saddest ones to me as she was robbed in so many ways by filthy Floyd.

In his Letters at that time, he offered the challenging proposal that since 'God is Love' (1 John 4:8),

Many female members began working for escort agencies to meet people and this often led to sex being sold to generate sizable incomes. According to The Family, from 1974 until 1987, members had sexual contact with 223,989 people while practicing Flirty Fishing. Flirty Fishing also resulted in the birth of many children, including Karen Zerby's son, Davidito (a.k.a. Rick Rodriguez). Since the late 1970s, there have been increasing reports of children of former members being abducted and moved to other countries to prevent their parents, law enforcement authorities and child welfare agencies from finding them.

In one case, an investigation was launched regarding the whereabouts of four missing children. Their mother, Ruth Frouman, had been expelled from the group in July 1987, eight months after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and was not allowed to leave with her children. This resulted in police raids on 10 Family Homes in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in September 1993. Two of her children were returned to their father in May 1993. The other two abducted children were not reunited with their father nor other relatives until mid-1997.

Although official Family spokespersons have rarely made any public statements about specific child abduction cases involving its members, members of the Family claim that there is some evidence that the Family's policies and practices regarding child abduction and child custody began to change in the mid-1990s. In "Permanent Marital Separation Rules"—Section 60 of the Love Charter created in February 1995—it is stated that couples with children must come to a mutual written agreement regarding the separation and the custody of the children, and that obtaining a legal divorce and child custody order is optional. However, it should be noted that The Family's supplemental publications once contained tips on how to use written agreements to obtain de facto full custody and traveling rights. This was in practice, used to move children away from a parent no longer in the group, often to countries with no extradition treaties and well outside the jurisdiction of local courts.

Also notable, the above policy states that it was applicable only to marital separations after February 1995. Offering no retroactive responsibility of earlier policies and practices, nor recourse for those affected by them. In a clause designed to deny culpability and keep the group's name out of the courts, the June 2003 amendments state that if the parties involved cannot reach a mutual agreement and "opt to use the court system to settle the matter," they must "relinquish Charter membership until the matter is settled."

At least one Family member, Peter Bevan Riddell, is known to have been convicted of crimes relating to child abduction. In 1984, the Australian government canceled Riddell's passport and he was deported from Japan to Australia, where he was convicted of committing forgery and making false statements to facilitate unlawful abduction. He later returned to Japan, where he continued working on behalf of David Berg and Karen Zerby in World Services.

Another Family member, Brian Edward Pickus, has been wanted for decades on an Interpol warrant issued by the United States and the state of Hawaii for kidnapping, burglary and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

A New Zealander was wanted in Singapore for kidnapping his daughter and abandoning his Singaporean wife who decided to leave The Family on reading Berg's "Sex with Grandma" in the early 80s.

For the paternal DNA the sample has to be from say Sharon's Father, Brother, Uncle (brother to the father) Or a nephew. The paternal DNA is not passed on directly to females. But the maternal DNA is different, I am on the same page with you cubby I think that they could send a sample to Ancestry.com and I also believe they could do some forensic tests on Sharon's teeth there was a seperate case that was spoke of on the Doe network that used forensic dentistry and it spoke volumes as to where this girl was from as well as her mother.

Really...? isn't that a bit of a silly question? I don't think they just gave a little girl to him but around 1970 - 1975 the cult was getting alot of bad press and having a missing little girl would be very bad press but if she was a cult "Jesus baby" then her birth was most likely never reported to the state like most births within the cult between 1968 - 1975, therefore she could have been raised in the cult till she was around three and no one outside of the cult of known she was even alive.

Since the cult at the time was so interested in new members the compounds usually had many unaccounted for visitors. it would have been easy for a man like Floyd to walk in and leave with a little girl and have no one be alarmed. I'm also 100% that in that time era they were not checking everyones criminal history at the door, so they would have no way of knowing that he was an ex con or child molester...not to mention that this cult had child-sex teachings... he would have fit right in.

Also if a member was leaving they were told that they could not bring their children with them, so if Sharon's mother was one for the first members Flirty Fishing and had become pregnant had her baby then wanted to leave the cult but was told she couldn't bring her child (like many women of the children of god cult in that era) then Sharon would have been a great target for someone like Floyd.

For a while now I have been here (following)reading the updates from time to time about Sharon.
And there are no matching records of missing children around the time that floyd took her. The ones that do turn up are ruled out.(previuos threads)
I do believe that he was saying the truth about it "no one was/is looking for her/Sharon"
I do remember that he used a lot of different names for him and Sharon.
Does someone knows if he used other names also for himself before he took Sharon? Seems to me that he is very contrived and cold-blooded in his ways.
Is there any more known in floyds timeline or car that he drove around that time?
There are too many missing pieces.

Hi. I just joined today. You all seem to know a lot about this, so I wanted to ask...does anyone know if Kirste Gordon was ruled out for Sharon Marshall? And would someone else please look at the pictures of the Michael and the pictures of a missing boy named Grant Ellis Beaumont, who went missing in 1966 (and whose abduction was speculated to be linked to Kirste Gordon's) and tell me if they see the same resemblance I do? I swore they could have been father and son and wondered if there could have been any link between the Beaumont children abduction and Floyd, such that Grant Beaumont could have grown up and fathered Michael. Except that Floyd was in prison when the Beaumont children were abducted, and someone posted in one of these threads that Michael's biological father is known. But I swear those two boys, missing 20+ years apart, look alike to me.

Hi, checking in here as it's been a while since I've checked in on "Sharon's" case...I don't know why I assumed she would be in NAMUS under UIDs, but I did, so I went to find an up to date list of ruleouts, and I can't find her anywhere. Is she really not listed in NAMUS? She should be...I'd think that would be the first place they'd want her case listed to garner any DNA matches.
