Police in Norman are asking for the public’s help finding a missing woman and her two young children.

The Norman Police Department is asking for help finding 59-year-old Rita Bump, 5-year-old Riley Bump and 2-year-old Stormy Bump.

Officials say Bump and her two children were last seen on Aug. 31 at their home in Norman. A missing persons report was filed with the police department on Nov. 13 after family members became concerned.

Investigators say they have no reason to believe that Bump and her two children are in danger, but her family is concerned since Bump did not tell them about any plans to leave the area for an extended period of time.

She may be driving a black 2013 Honda Accord with Oklahoma license plate “397 KXL” or “GGP 981.”

Why is this disappearance being reported now? No one has seen them since late August? I hope they find them, seems an unusual case.

Imho. I see the family possibly not in regular contact with them unless holidays, etc. Thinking they tried to get up with them for Thanksgiving and then discovered they were missing. Moo

Surely, they are her grandchildren or she gave birth at 57?

ETA, They may have her age wrong. She doesn't look 59.

What a strange case. Is her listed age correct? Is she the mother or the grandmother?

Perhaps they got that part wrong also. Maybe grandmother?

I am glad I am not the only one questioning her being the mother of the children. I am a little more than 10 years younger that Rita and I am pretty sure my eggs only come in powder form these days.

Maybe she has custody of them but they're her grandchildren? I can't imagine she's the bio mom.

51 here and no babies. I am thinking the Grandmother may have been raising them.

Just posted that below. Sadly, I saw it a lot when my boys were young.

OT Does your screen name have anything to do with Anime?

Family is posting on the TV station's Facebook link posted above; they're saying it's the correct picture. But agreed, that wouldn't necessarily mean she's biomom.

LE was given the wrong photo of Rita and this is the corrected one:

Here is the link where a reporter states the wrong photo was originally given to LE:

I'm thinking the original photo given was bio mom. The picture that is now released is the grandmother that is raising them and missing with the (grand)children.
