OK OK - Teresa Cupps, 20, Oklahoma City, 1977

Although maybe she never realized that the charges against her were eventually dropped. Idk. I hope wherever she is now, she’s at peace.

So after thinking about this more, I came up with a scenario.

Teresa knew she was facing some charges. She could have possibly wanted to leave town before that happened.

Oklahoma City is the connecting point of several major interstates that go across the country in all directions.

It would have been easy for her to hitch a ride with a long-haul trucker to wherever she thought she could try to make a new start, somewhere far enough away that no one would be looking for her to take her to court.

I really hope this is the case. Kimbi if you are out there...call out.

In the mid-1970’s Teresa Gail Cupps lived in Girlstown, a juvenile shelter in Tecumseh. She was placed there after she was convicted of Grand Larceny. According to reports at the age of 18 residents at Girlstown, were simply dropped off in Oklahoma City. There are reports that Teresa was living with a man by the name of Bobby Boyd in Oklahoma City during the time of her disappearance.

According to reports, Teresa had issues with drugs and had worked as a prostitute.

In 1977, at the age of 19, Teresa stopped reporting to her parole officer. This caused a warrant to be issued for her arrest. She was never reported to have been seen or heard from since this time.

After thirteen years, after no sign of Teresa was reported, the legal charges were dropped by the state.

After the death of her mother in 2004, her younger sister filed a missing person report. All public records and usage of her social security number ended in 1977.

Teresa was reported as 5’0”-5’3”, 120 pounds, she had brown hair and brown eyes. She had used several alias’s: Kimbi R. Boyd, Virginia Collins, Kimbi Boyd, or possibly Kimbi Cupps. She had also used the alias date of birth April 8, 1956.

The age progression photo was created but the age is unknown.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Teresa please contact the Tecumseh Police Department (405)598-3755.

Maybe? However, NamUs doesn't mention a tattoo, so it's a very unlikely possibility.
I imagine her friends and family can provide more information about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance; If she disappeared that very day, who was the last person who saw her? Did someone give a ride? What was she carrying with her?

As far as drugs go, heroin is one where you give it up or you die, with few exceptions for those who are able to long-term dabble. Coupled with alleged prostitution, I'd guess statistically the odds are even lower that she quit using. Meanwhile, it appears she was shooting it, so she'd be at a higher risk of contracting HIV if she made it to the late 70s or early 80s. Obviously, a higher risk lifestyle also ups the chances for her being murdered. All together, I believe she's deceased and will hopefully be identified if she was found as an UP, or will be found soon for her sister's closure.

I think Teresa's deceased too, but she's not a Jane Doe imo. I think she used another alias name after vanishing and was buried with that name.

A beautiful young girl who was never a priority for her family... what a sad case, those who consume that garbage and prostitute themselves to be able to buy her... and the family? the mother? the father? wouldn't there be anyone interested in her in a child... surely she was murdered by someone from that dirty and disgusting world of drugs... a society that doesn't help doesn't really see what happens... I don't know the center where she was sent after stealing but those places are never good, they always mistreat the girls, they are abused by the officials and other inmates... beautiful girl, wherever you are, I hope you are well and that there is no more pain in your heart...
whatever it is
rest in peace
