• The OKCM Seach and Recue team is searching for 35-year-old Thai Yang.
• Family members said he disappeared from the Collinsville area the evening of June 29 and could be wearing a hoodie, jeans and sneakers.
• Loved ones are worried because he had a learning disability and does not communicate much with others. They fear he may not know how to ask for help.
• He likes to go on walks and has never been gone this long. His family believes he doesn’t have access to food, water, money or a way to find his way home.
• Anyone who may have seen Yang is asked to call 911 or the Collinsville Police Department directly at 918-371-1000.

Yang’s sister says she doesn’t believe that he has any money, food or water with him. She says he is likely going to try to seek shelter, but says he tries to keep to himself and struggles to communicate.

Very concerning. His sister said he has the mind of an 8-year-old and the sheriff has pointed out the increasing temperatures. I hope local authorities and news media are stressing to residents to search their properties including barns, sheds, abandoned vehicles, treelines, etc. MOO

I hope so too. He should have been found by now especially if everyone checked their properties like you mentioned. The family must be so worried.

Dunning and his team have continued to reach out to surrounding law enforcement agencies and other organizations in an effort to track Yang down.

“I’ve been in contact with all the shelters in Tulsa to find out if he has been there, stayed there, no luck,” Dunning said. “Checked out every new housing addition, walked through all the new construction to see if he’s been in there; he seems to levitate toward those areas.”

Dunning’s department said it has received several reports of Yang’s possible whereabouts, including on the Gilcrease Highway as well as inside the Skiatook Casino, but no confirmed points of contact.

Police say they're actively searching for Thai Yang and if there's a lead or a possible sighting, they're looking into it.

Police say someone thought they saw Yang in Owasso a few days ago, but officers found out that it was not him.

Investigators say they've been checking in with homeless shelters as well, hoping that maybe someone saw him.

Yang is known for walking all over town and police say it wasn't unusual for him to walk as far as Tulsa or Oologah.

News On 6 spoke with one of his family members, and they're trying to stay hopeful; they are asking that if you believe you've seen Thai Yang, take a picture of that person and send it to law enforcement.
