Sperry is a teeny tiny town and people are connected by family or drugs out there.

I'm betting they did some meth, got all riled up over the older one's father being killed, and decided to take revenge. Crazy. I almost thought this might have ties to local KKK groups, but the younger guy looks at least part Indian so I guess not. So glad they're caught!!

Thanks for the info!! Interesting....drugs is actually one of the things that popped into my mind. It seems that lots of friendships with big age gaps are formed through drug usage.

I am glad they're caught too. I am glad you will be able to let your kids play outside this Easter Sunday!!

I will be interested to find out what the relationship is between these two. That is quite an age difference. If they're friends, how did they become friends? The younger one is holding a baby in that picture, I wonder if it's his.

On Friday around 10pm, England posted on Facebook: "Chilling at that house people talking s*** on me for some s*** I didn't do lil man and cady I__'s here I do believer it just mite be the time to call it quits I I hate to say it like that but I'm done if something does happen tonite be ready for another funeral later" Late Friday England posted to Facebook: "Woke up late bout to head my a** to work get everything off my mind."

...Last Thursday around 3pm, England posted, "Today is two years that my dad has been gone shot by a f****** n***** it's hard not to go off between that and s---- I'm gone in the head.

It sounds like some talk about it him was the straw that broke the camels back. JMO

I just saw that!!!! I don't think that (his Facebook rant) was there when the article was originally posted. If it was, I totally missed it. Definitely makes these murders sound like hate crimes. This may get ugly.

My cousin, who was Indian, was murdered in Tulsa. It's more about circumstance than race. IMHO Seems more like meth and juice, than anything. It appears that his dad's murder was something that tore him up and he never got past it. Anger hurts so many.

His fiancee passed in January of this year, at 24 years old. Too many things happening, too many people lost.

Do you mean like the two suspects went out shooting people when they were high or do you think the suspects and victims were all connected somehow through drugs? I only researched a little on this case this am but from the initial media reports I got the feeling they were just out shooting at random black people.
I looked at je's fb page before it disappeared. He was definitely on the edge emotionally/mentally from the loss of his fiancé and dad. Jmo. His poor family friends were desperately reaching out to him.
I didn't get the chance to do any research on the other suspect. But, did anyone notice his face looked tinted yellowish in certain places in the mugshot? Bad photo, drug effect, ????

Jake England, 19, and Alvin Watts, 32, were held on three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of shooting with intent to kill. Police identified both suspects as white males, although earlier court records identified a Jacob Carl England, born on the same date, as American Indian.

Police are examining whether the shootings might be a hate crime, as England, 19, had posted racially charged comments on his Facebook page about the two-year anniversary of his father's death, the Tulsa World reported.

Obviously, this guy has issues. However, I don't see these incidents mitigating or justifying or even explaining his shooting five victims chosen, apparently, at random.

The media is making me SICK right now. There are so many other murders happening in the US right now but they decide to play up THIS one? WHY? Because it has racial overtones and ironically, at the same time.. Trayvon martin's case is playing out in the media??
I don't believe in censorship but something NEEDS to be done about the media inciting people's anger and being so VERY one sided.

It would appear he was suicidal; that combined with drugs, alcohol and a companion who had different motives, led to disaster. If the person who murdered England's father was white or Hispanic would the outcome have been different? I believe it may have been. This also could have ended up 'suicide by cop', good that it didn't.

BBM EDIT because I have the mother of all colds and didn't post what I meant to say: I meant to say the outcome would have been the same, perhaps just not the race of the victims; there would still have been deaths because of the actions of these two. The younger man was bent on revenge and who knows what the older one was thinking.

I am from tulsa born and raised. I'm not there now but this is a terrible happening of events. But why do they have to protest and cause more racial conflict. These guys are in jail and will be taken care of, right?
